I doubt they'll be charging for it in the future either. With the console being as relatively expensive as it is Sony can't afford to and even though the price is gonna go down with time I'm still certain they won't be changing their policy. It's too good of a thing for Sony to charge anything other than the price of a console for it.

yup, sounds just like another sony rip off 2 me. i think the xbox is well and truly the next gen king, the wii is the choice of the nintendo fanboys, the casuals and the familys and such, and the ps3 is just the choice of the wealthy lol

You could say the same thing when PS2 came out. A lot of people waited for a year or more for the price to get down a bit before they bought it. It's gonna be the same with PS3.
