Hey! I've just got my hand on More Music For The Jilted Generation not long ago and a question raised upon in me.
On the original MFTJG album we had speedway as 8.56 and the heat as 4.27. On MMFTJG speedwas is 6.23 and the heat is 7.00, so the splitting has been changed. I thought my disc is wrong or something, but watched it then on discogs.com and it says the same.
Why did the prodigy change it, or is it a mistake?

I notice it too!

So, there is a three minutes of music which we don't know is it part of Speedway or The Heat (The Energy). LOL

One of two cds has mistake! Jilted or More Jilted, that is the question!

My bet that mistake is on original Jilted and that they correct it on More Jilted!

Definitely the mistake is on the original Jilted.
Back in the day, after I ripped the original CD, I used some audio software to cut the ending of Speedway and paste it to The Heat. It's so obvious that it belongs there. Good though that it was fixed with MMFTJG.

I think it fits better to Speedway. In the 7.00 The Heat at 2.33 when it changes it just doesn't fit too well I think. And that narcotic-kinda rhythm... dunno I think I think it fits better Speedway.

I haven't recognized that yet
Interesting point, I thought Liam edited The Heat because of the length of the album...
My view from those two tracks has changed now... but why have nobody complained about it the last 15 years?? Crazy
But don't continue to talk about it, a masterpiece with a mistake, how does that sound...

Well, Jilted is definitely not perfect album. The Heat is shorter than Liam planed. One love is in edit version because there is no room for full one. Full Throttle is a B-side, I rely don't know why is it on album. No room for We Eat Rhythm...

A bit offtopic, but speaking of perfection, TFOTL comes closest to it.
Trust me, I'm a perfectionist

Well in my opinion maybe Jilted is not perfect, still their best music ever. But as for me... One Love : why is that shit on the album at all? Aye, the original version is better imo then the edit, but both of them should have been just a b-side. We Eat Rhythm also.
Otherwise the album is cool. However, I, by myself, would have put another Narcotic Suite track to the album instead One Love. I love all the 3 narcotic stuffs, the best fuckin aces  especially Claustrophobic Sting. Shame they played it on live so less. The 06 Zap Club live with We're the Ruffest is awesome.

By the way mate, do you know anything if it's true or not the TFOTL Expanded comes this year?

I bought MMFJG when it came out and that was the first thing i noticed.
I've locked on the internet to find an official explenation but faild, just seen some forums and all speculate to why the have been changed.
Anyway my opinion is if you have MFGJ and MMFGJ listeen to both and py attention to the track times and you notice that when Speedway fineches and The Heat starts on MMFGJ it feels more correct to me, so yes i think its a mistake on MFGJ, it's only the timing that it diferent everything is the same so no worries

Yes I know that, it's only that I'm interested why the timing has been changed. I know everything is the same apart from that :)

Yeah. They are masterpieces! Probably most artistic part of the prodigy music ever! Heh, and I see it like Marijuana-Speed-Heroin.

Yes! I definitely agree! I think only bad spot of TFOL is Fuel My Fire which is bad song in comparison to other ones on this LP! Imagine if One Man Army is 10th song on album! Wow

I thought that how its cut on More Jilted is how it was meant to be on the original Jilted but it was cut wrong.

It sounds loads better how it is now than it used to. The Heat has a proper build up to it and Speedway isnt ridiculously long at the end for no point now  My favourite part of Speedway originally was that bit at the end, and now its boosted my opinion on The Heat. Bangin track!

Well, for me the only weaker track of TFOTL has always been Climbatize. The only thing I used to like about it, is that it leads to Fuel My Fire, which I like very much, and it is also my favourite closing track of the 4 albums :-D I kinda appreciate Climbatize more these days, but it's still my least favourite track on the album.
I definitely agree about One Man Army being on the album. That would have made it even more perfect. Not being on the album though, makes it the best non-album track :)
