I have the LG Monitor L1970H and I´m totally happy with it...
Sharp picture, deep black colour, good reaction time and absoluteley game compatible [2ms]

BUT
Default settings of it´s picture is shit, you need some time to get the best settings via monitor-menue and graphic cards driver utility.

AND

Be very careful with arranging it the first time after you put it out of the box, else the socket can be broken. Don´t do it without reading the manual.

Buying a SAMSUNG has something to do with fortune. It is known, that monitors of the same series can have different picture qualities and pixel damages. Else read in Hardware forums concerning Monitors.
