Stephen King's Maximum Overdrive. What a fucked up shit is that! Jesus! I love Stephen King (The Langoliers is one of his fuckin best art ever, beside IT, Misery, Cell), but this story of his is... pfff shite. The movie is just a bigger shite.

St Trinians (yes... I watched it, but only cos it was a girl's party lol)
Labyrinth (the one with David Bowie)
No Country for Old men... (partly cos of my disappointment after all its critical acclaim)

These are just a few that come straight to my head, I'm missing loads of shit films that I can't think of atm

What!?

Looooooooooooooooooooooove NcFOM! :-D The dialogues are great, the switch between styles and genres, atmospheres, the characters, the story of the sherrif, the shots/screenplay, NO music without it feeling awkward. No fucking way this is a BAD movie. You just happen to read too much before checking out yourself. Even I have had quite some expectations, but damn man... I was rewarded anyway. I like all the details, while it has so few effects and other bullshit. A movie in it's pure essense. And I'm obviously not alone on this. I'm not defending the movie, but damn... there's just so much in No Country For Old Men that's just beautiful, you just can't ignore them. Watch it again, sober maybe? Just kiddin'.

But fair enough, I know what you mean... and yes, I talk too much.

Anyway, Transporter, among many, many other movies. Bleeeeeeh... what's to like in this movie besides the dull action? An obvious plotline, boring characters with bad dialogues, bad acting and just... nothing special.

hehe chill mate, just an opinion

Yeah a lot of people loved the movie and I can see by its multi Oscar wins that you're not alone. It's just that none of my family liked it and I really felt that it was too boring. And what's with the end? The sheriff is talking about some random dream he had last night and it just cuts.

Then again, maybe it's like 2001: A Space Oddysey. Perhaps its one of those films that you've gotta keep watching over and over until you understand the true meaning and beauty. For me though, from the first watch, it's seriously overrated.

I'm chilled... I just like to give my take on the movie.

And if you focus on the sherrif's story, the way he feels outmatched by all the killings and everything... It just has a lot of meaning for me. Some parts Tommy Lee plays so beautiful it gives me chills everytime I watch it. For me... it's everything but boring. I have seen it around 8 times now but it still feels fresh and interesting. It's just a slow movie where you have to think a lot yourself, where you have to fill in everything for yourself. The movie just gives you a blank canvas, and you paint it with your view. Whoa, what the fuck... did I just say that?
