my vote goes to Hellraiser far better story than all the slasher films combined, the first 2 are masterpiece, the rest of the sequels vary but are still better than a lot of horror flims ive seen.

The are remaking Hellraiser and it will be out this year!!

Hope they dont mess it up!

actually it was delayed again and it will come either 2010 or 2011.
there were a lot of changes in the production, crew, directors, script.clive barker is still on board.Pascal Laugier is the new director and it seems the story that will go in to production is pretty cool.also the budget is really big so we can hope for a good movie.

and also the guy who did the pinhead makeup since 92 did this new design, unofficial cause he he isn't involved in the movie anymore.and clive barker said the the design he made doesn't fit the philosophy behind pinhead's character.the blood and the hard cuts simply don't work for pinhead.he's look must be clean, perfect, somehow elegant

it looks good but not as good as the pinhead in the first film, i wonder who will play as the new pinhead - i hope whoever it is plays him all brooding and serious like in the first film.

Pinhead seemed to be more scary in the first one and had his voice pitched lower which added the effect

I had downloaded the whole series, watched first 4, and i think i dont want to watch it anymore, at least now. Freddy movies are great too...Its difficult to choose the best horror saga, because there a plenty of horrors, most of them are shit, but there are few vey good.

the difference between hellraiser and the others is basically about story characters..the first hellraiser were about that.freddy and haloween are just slasher movies

I like the EM-1 avatar! I own one :)

I'm not too fond of Hellraiser honestly. But then it's hard to settle on the best slasher franchise of all. Friday the 13th, Nightmare On Elm Street, Halloween, etc. . There are so many... I have no idea who I'd vote for best, there as so many classics. My problem is my phobias don't touch base with this genre of film, so I don't really have an all-time best here.
