WD was the first new tune that blew me away from those early warehouse gigs.
I don't listen to this album anymore unless I can listen to it as loud as possible. I don't want to get bored of it.
When you hear the horns on this track it just blows me away. Oh and that break down at the end...... Perfection. It's possibly the most dancable track Liam has ever made.

My point was rhetorical. Whenever he wrote them, I am quite sure he spent hours and hours poring over every single little bit.

Warrior's Dance is very good, but simply not 'The Best'. It wears out a little after a while. I'm not saying it doesn't last, but it doesn't have a satisfying 'climax'-sound, if you know what I mean.
Most Prodigy tracks are like:
____---------======--------======|||||||||______------======----
Warrior's Dance FEELS (to me: opinion) like:
__________----------------_________========-------------
See the difference? I can't really explain... it lacks... movement? It doesn't go anywhere after you heard the melodic bass and the synthy screams after the track rebuilds. I was hoping it was more alive arrangement-wise.
Shit I don't think anyone gets it. I mean... I love the track so I don't want to piss on it. Just not the best. That's all.

I think you hit the nail totally on the head there. Its by far Liam's most simplest composition but i think that's it's charm.
Like Liam has said in interviews that he wrote it for Gatecrasher and he wanted something to celebrate 20 years of acid house. I wouldn't be surprised if he knocked that tune out over a weekend.
But as we all know Liam is a perfectionist and in many respects this has totally gone against the ethos of his song writing, its haphazard, its raw and seems unfinished but i as said that's its charm.
Its a Ronseal tune. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

And you hit THAT right on the nail.
It's what makes the track shine in his/her own right actually:
'Warrior's Dance: the beauty that simplicity can be in its pure essence.'
Case closed on WD?

That's what i think too,i like it,but it's not this legend as it seems,i mean legend for me is a track as No Good,i don't wanna compare the 2 songs, really, but there's a substancial difference in this,i think and ofcourse on this album there are so many tracks better than warriors dance(which remains a good track).

well i prefered the old version, liam turned those ape sounds into a synthy like sound and i dont like that at all, to be honest it was probably for copyright reasons or something because its been used alot before in the past

as for samples and copyright bullshit, Liam has ENOUGH money to buy it.
I'd like to compare it with this to make you change your mind.
Reversing a vocal sample on Full Throttle was for financial reasons, the boys were in a totally different state when it was about money.
Liam is a perfectionist as we all know.
Stuff he made we think is fucking classic and needs a release would be described as 'Not Fresh Enough' , 'Just a little Live tune' or whatever by Liam.
What I'm trying to say is that Warrior's Dance is perfect in Liam's eyes.
I'm curious about the edit version, because WD is aimed to be the next single.
We might get surprises.
The bassline of the track has also changed since last year.
And I don't think this would have happened if Molotov's rework would have been rocking the 'net for months, it's not perfect, but it's pretty close to the real thing.
Liam wanted this album to be fresh.
And he made Warrior's Dance perfect.
The second kick in is so good... so... good.
When those ting-ting-tiiiiiiiiiing synth adds the final goosebump on your body you know it.
It's a track I won't forget easily.
It's an ode to the rave era, Liam managed to make a track that can stand right next to No Good in every aspect.
People will listen to this.
Clubs are gonna play it non stop.
Liam will have everyone in their pocket.
When the Warrior's Dance single comes out.
Just my two cents.

i prefer the version on the dvd, the original "ape" sample is cooler, and a bit more theres reverb n echo on the main sample, sounds slightly more trippy airy fairy ish.
i want the original WOF back
