i must admit i havent absorbed to theyr music much, im sure i have heard some tunes from Hold Your Colours, i don't even connect names with tunes, so after listening this new tune and comparing it to theyr last album, Silico seems like vomit. must dig out and give them older stuff proper listen

I enjoyed HYC because it was melodic but hardcore.
This new track is just hardcore.. nothing more.

I was a huge fan of HYC, it was arguably my favourite album after MFTJG and TFOL. But then came Rob's comment on DOA and their jump into shit music. They even played on Jools Holland... and they're what emos and scene kids think of when someone mentions rave music.
This new track doesn't really hit me like HYC did, maybe it's just because I've only got negative thoughts about the band at the moment. To me, Back in Form is as generic as the type of stuff that Hazard throws out (even if it gets the dance floor moving).

i mean what happened in the old days with tracks that had like 18 chorus's and shit with constant changes of drum rolls and melody's, prodigy atleast have some changed in their tracks (omen & take me) for example but when its just 15 seconds of a loop anyone could do it as good as what pendulum have done if they hid themselves away in a room for 2 weeks to work on a 15 seconds loop

because jump up needs to be cool again. it was the bollocks earlier on in the '90s... but since has become even worse. it's not even tolerable anymore...

Shortly before In Silico came out people started slating Pendulum for not 'staying true to the DnB sound' (whatever that means) and there was a huge fuss over comments Rob Swire from Pendulum made on dogsonacid.com. The basic outline of the story's here:

Very true, leave it to one of the best DNB acts to emerge in the past 10 years to trash their own scene. It's like a dog shitting where he eats. It wasn't a smart let alone bold move for Pendulum. They have a long road back to redemption if they care to do it. More than I can say for a lot of long time acts who continue to fail time and time again.

To be quite honest, Pendulum are probably going to have to make several tracks better than Another Planet if they want to be noticed positively by DOA again. Any word with "Pendu" in it on those boards is derogatory at the moment.

True.. oh so true. Those words ring loudly in my ears mate. DOA is a bastard of a place to be reckoned with. All names old and new go there even if to lurk. Nobody is happy with them, least of all Goldie lol who hasn't put out decent shit since Timeless lmao... But he is one of the children of dnb.. no father to it like people claim but he is part of it. I will give him credit due as he does know what he's on about, but as far as his music goes and career... Sod off you soap star! Leave the bizness to us who know what we're doing then hey?
