i dont get it. they dont pay for it to be filmed do they? its free promotion, you cant buy a ticket the live show when its not in your country, but you can buy a CD, Tshirt etc, and are more likely to buy a CD from a band you respect.. so show yourselves! unless ofcourse your releasing a live DVD, which in that case, we should hear something?

Rage Against the Machine did the same thing last year, except they didn't allow any footage to be filmed AT ALL.
It's ridiculous, it's free advertising, it's getting the band out there. If they are releasing a DVD, if someone is going to download something from the internet instead of buying a DVD, then they're just going to download the DVD as well!
Unless it's a licensing issue or a problem with Cooking Vinyl. I can see it being out of their control.

This will just come back to Liam's argument that you cannot download a live band. I reckon Liam secretly hates live footage being shown on tv as it would detract from people from going to a gig when they can see it for free on tv.
So they bleed out the content to keep the casual fan happy and show their friends where as the people here who are hungry for what Liam would shit in a toilet and demand every bit of live footage that Dugdale has recorded.
Every gig he is there recording or taking photos. So either this is another of Liam's ways to fuck with the fans or they are planning a live dvd at some stage.
I wouldn't hold my breath for a dvd. The last time we got an official live gig on dvd, the gig was already 8 years old

Quote: D: The band doesn’t make many TV appearances, why not?
LH: What it is, in a world where you can download the music, steal it, get it from mates or whatever, you can’t download coming to see the band. It’s fine if it’s a bit of footage of us playing live at a festival but we tend to try to stay away from more studio stuff.
D: There’s a lot of compromise on that level. When you go into the studios there’s always a compromise of some sort, whether it’s the sound, whether it’s the lights, whether it’s the performance.
LH: We want people to come to the gigs.
KF: They think they’re doing you a favor, putting you on the show and they become more important than you are. The music – it’s not about our performance – it’s about the importance of the music. If someone’s prepared to do it the way we want to and have absolute control over the sound . . . we have live guitar and live drums onstage and people try to mix that like it’s a live band. Essentially that’s not the sound of the band.
M: When we do a show there’s no restrictions. When we’re performing onstage Keith or myself might jump in the crowd. When you’re in the studio you’re told to perform within a certain area. We’ve never done it since day one so I feel like we should carry on . . .

it may be good now for them that they aren't showing full sets on tv,but after they'll be gone,we fans are left with practically nothing.only the usual 5-6 songs they've been constantly showing for the last years.
hopefully after they'll retire excepting maybe a live dvd, they will post some live concerts on their website like other artists do.
oh and fucking nice beats at the first documentary.
thanks for posting this guys and the rips
