I dont think the mac users here actually know enough about PCs to argue against them. They just insist that macs are better, and thats it, black and white, with no technical evidence other than quoting apples advertising campaign and pro mac websites. Have fun in your little cult.

Its easy to slag something off when you have never even used it, all Mac users have used Pc's so know how bad and frustrating they can be
everythings frustrating when you dont configure it correctly, id be frustrated as fuck on a mac also because i dont use them every day, and i like to tweak. theres no point in discussing with someone who argues black and white. and claiming you have the upper hand because of the amount of years youve been using something counts for nothing, you could have been dead wrong the whole time. sorry mate but you sound like a little kid defending your choice of crayon.

I think YOU're the one that hasn't got a fucking clue. Have you been spying on my ass recently? I owned a crap like that for 4 years, along with a pc. The crapshittosh ended up in pieces, that's how good it was. I've never used anything so shitty, and I'll never use apple crap ever again. It's all marketing and brainwash from those assholes. And oh yeah, "nice" looks. I'll choose an Alienware anytime if I wanted eye candy AND performance.

dont think he's arguing black and white. everyone grows up using windows. schools and jobs are full of this operating system. this makes it a fact that someone will always have had experience with a microsoft OS.

so a bad experience with a mac. still you seem to be more frustrated about than necessary.
i have used a windows for all my life, and still use it at work and uni.
fact is, it has fuck all to do with my lifestyle or concerns to be hip in any sense. I simply prefer it as an OS. deal with the fact that your product of choice has shit to do with your identity. perhaps people choose products in this price category for more reasons than just style, right?

Following your argument, I can say the same thing about crapintosh users: your pc experience was bad because your IQ is somewhere bellow 0. It takes some brains to operate a pc, you know.
And it wasn't just my experience. I know many people that used macs and ended up using pc's, because they were sick about that idiotic os and its limitations, software and hardware wise.
And yeah, you choose your stuff based on what you need it for. With a pc, you can do anything, from productivity to intensive gaming. With a mac, there are like 5 choices then you're bored to death.
In my opinion, people who experience crashes and freezes and other stuff on their pc's are either idiots and don't know how to use it, or they have a hardware problem, no way related to the os. If apple's market share was over 90%, like windows's, how much are you willing to bet that the mac would be a total shit os, crashing, freezing all the time, and so on?
The fact that there are 100 people worldwide buying and using macs, and STILL the os has lots of problems...what does it tell you? Really.

it still amuses me how everytime new media content is posted on the forum,audio/video,mac users always ask for differnet file formats cause their marvelous operating system doesn't recognize them..
oh and limiting the discussion about performance only on the audio production is stupid.it's hardly a win.instead look at how many people like engineers, scientists and so on run their work on pcs and windows systems.i never seen a formula 1 engineer analysing the car telemetry on a mac,or make performance twists for the engine.just a example the list can go on...

u hit the nail on the head pinhead.
that point alone is evidence enough for the argument that there is no argument. the argument that neither is better at anything, its just what you do with it.
the only thing im against in this thread is the cultist bullshit ive been hearing. there isnt a job that couldnt be done with a properly configured PC that a mac couldnt and vice versa, stop spreading this bullshit propoganda.

for some reason you keep making remarks about my IQ in this discussion..and here I was thinking the prodigy fan would have reached the age of 14 by now.
also, i don't think i ever said i was frustrated by a pc, i simply stated that after comparing i preferred a mac. personal preference. fuck to do with knowing or not knowing how to operate a pc.
and if the apple marketshare would have been 90% than there would probably be more inovative competition offcourse. but the situation today is that microsoft has this. nobody is disputing that there is less pressure on microsoft to innovate due to the strong market position, but that doesnt mean that people can choose another OS like a mac and be morons for it, right?

Not your IQ buddy, I was speaking in general, following your argument about my bad experience with a mac. And no, the people who choose mac over win, or the other way around, are not morons, only those that keep bashing win over the almighty mac, with only one argument: i had a bad pc experience, fuck pc's, macs are the best.
Got it? Read between the lines.

I used one for about 5 years.. then when I needed a proper computer that could work without fucking up every week I bought a Mac, this was before the iPod & iMac was even invented so no one can say I bought a Mac because of image
Im not saying that Pcs are useless.. I'm saying for proffessionals and for certain industrys you would not use anything else.. Design and Music Production being them... My friend is a structural engineer for British Aerospace and uses a Pc because for what he needs.. it works!
But If you think im wrong then again name me 5 top producers/production studios that use Pcs, you wont find any

Thats because Microsoft has made Pcs not compatible with Macs in a lot of ways.. its more Bill Gates fault than Apples as he was there first and has made file formats not work with Apple
Saying that you can just use VLC player which will play any format so that arguments a bit flawed, its not the OS system that doesnt work... its the person using it doesnt know how to open them.
