Justice of course.
Ol' Dirty Bastard for Liam, he mentioned him in a couple of interviews.

i dont think bands like prodigy, singers like elvis or an actor like james dean are exactly god like, they just do something a little different, they come along and fuck shit up for a little bit, and then they leave.
they arent perfect performers, but they pave their own way. they declare their own rules. maybe they are similar to sex pistols in some respects, considering they never went out of their way to be controversial, they certainly have been.

Public Enemy.
Sex Pistols.
Specials.
RATM.
All equally had something important to say and represented a genre or music and fans to the full, exactly like the Prodigy and you can see Liams influence from all 3.

Sex Pistols.
Prodigy are electronic punks and that's all.

Me!
seriously though, the answer is any band with attitude, any band who broke the mould, any band with a controversial look/style.. e.t.c
So..
Sex Pistols
Rolling Stones
A flock of seagulls (the hair lol)
public Enemy
Happy Mondays
Stone Roses
RATM
Pink Floyd
The list could go on and on. All that matters is that for our generation (and some of the new generation as Prodigy continue to produce kick ass tunes 20 years later) we have a band like this. Every generation has one, and i'm glad that we have The Prodigy as ours.
We need another scene now.. Hippies, mods, rockers, acid house/rave.. I don't think in todays socitey where anything and everything goes, and everythings been tried, we will be lucky enough to have another new/fresh scene with music that upsets parents and a new drug of choice to go with the new style of music. This is it guys.. Prodigy and rave music is the last true groundbreaking music scene we will have.

not a well thought out statement. people say that about the 60s, but the world can only get more fucked up, globalisation will create new phenomena, mind reading technology (insane musical compositions) plus religion is gonna die a very ugly slow death in the next few decades. loads of inspiration for new music trends, drugs effects may be triggered by some kinda neuron manipulation. who the fuck knows??
IMO prodigy only became groundbreaking after they left the rave scene well and truly.
