Following the Manchester band's cancelled show at the Paris Rock en Seine festival this evening, he posted the following statement on Oasisinet.com.

"It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight," he wrote. "People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with [singer, his brother] Liam a day longer."


Its Noel, but come think of it without Noel theres no Oasis....unless they carry on they wont be as good without Noel.

STFU . I love Oasis! This really makes me sad as I grew up with classics such as Wonderwall, Live Forever, Champagne Supernova, Don't Look Back in Anger, etc.

I guess Noel will finally make his solo album which he has been working on for years and years. In a way, I think a breakup was needed because I believe Noel is finally free to make some music on his own. He will be the next Lennon, guaranteed. He will probably make a great record like "Imagine". All of his solo stuff has been great so far and I am sure he will probably get a record out in a couple of years. Expect great collaborations with some of his pals... can't wait for that record to be made.

Not too bothered, their best material is behind them. I don't believe this is the end, they will reunite one day, they're brothers and nothing can change that...
