Taken from wikipedia -
When Liam Howlett came to the cutting room for the final phase in the album production he realized that all the tracks he had originally planned for wouldn't fit onto a CD so One Love had to be edited, The Heat [The Energy] was slightly cut and the track called "We Eat Rhythm" was left out.
So what was the intended tracklist and where did We Eat Rhythm originally fit in?
And is there a version of The Heat [The Energy] that isnt slightly cut?
Personally im glad he left out We Eat Rhythm as i only like the jungle remix of this track

I think that would've been the version on the album, not the original mix.

me too.. original mix is already released on that 'select: future tracks' soon after MFTJG but don't know why liam have been saving jungle mix. they used to play it live for a few years, obviously to see people's reactions, and then..nothing
for me,jungle mix isn't a proper live track..it's more to bang your home stereo

Actually there is no "jungle remix'!
It's just a fan's name

The 'unchopped' original 'The Heat [The Energy]' has never been released.
Don't know where it would have been in the track list but personally I love 'We Eat Rhythm' and it's a damn shame it has only ever been released on that 'Select' magazine cassette.

just mix 'The Heat [The Energy]' with Goa (The Heat The Energy Part 2), so its kinda useless to release it.

'the heat' was cut due to limited lenght of cassete (remember, it was 1994) and it couldnt fit on one side so they splitted it into two parts, one is at the end of 'speedway' (side A), second is 'the heat the energy' (side B) and they decided to leave it that way on CD too.
it's corrected on 'more music for the jilted generation' - 'speedway' has 5 min, and 'the heat the energy' is 7 min long.

I like it the way it was on the original CD at the end of Speedway, it's more like a fill that way, and awesome trippy fill...
As for other things being cut it's always a dream of mine to listen to Jilted in full as it was intended to be. As it is it's still the best album ever, but I'd love to know how it would have flowed differently. It's a real shame that the cut stuff didn't end up on disc 2 of More Music For The Jilted Generation. I'd have thought that'd be a no brainer...

That is not the "cut in question"...that's just splitting the track up. We're talking about parts of the track being left out and never reaching the ears of fans.
It was cut due to the 79 min limit on a cd.
If you listen to live recordings of The Heat from around `94 you can hear that the vocal sample is longer.

how could ryhthm of life be intended to be on it when it was released before the album was as a b-side on the one love single ?
b-sides dont go from singles to albums
thats why they are called b-sides
if youre saying that then what about scienide, and GOA ?[
