I believe that the disc is indeed genuine by what we can see of it, but the sleeve looks highly suspicious. Test pressings normally don't have barcodes for example. Might very well be a real disc, in a fake sleeve, to make more money out of it. I have asked around about it, but so far no confirmation if it's real and no confirmation that it's not real.

The barcode is the same as the version in the plastic bag

I noticed, yes. No idea if this item is real. Might never find out either. I wouldn't have paid the price that it went for when the item is questionable.

Ask XL, worth a shot but someone there may know
I can't see why they would make a promo of a promo and for years no one has never seen this, but you never know

Finally I bought this item and have my doubts....
http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=1615079
The problem is, if you compare this one with my other white cd promos [i.e. Voodoo People / Out Of Space ones] the print looks blurry and this references to everything, the prodigy-logo, the track text and the xl-logo on the disc.
The CD itself seems to be no CD-R, it shows DC2 JS 401174501RC19 80
in the tranparent middle and in the silver ring in the middle you can see mirrored RFD80M .- 05610 80
Everything else , the pvc-sleeve and the sticker seems to be okay and looks like the pic on discogs. It´s hard to see on this discogs picture, if the print is sharp or blurry.
So - Does anyone confirm if this item I bought is real or self-made ???
Thank you !
btw: i´ve seen the thunder single, but the price ....
