just got a usb turntable and will start recording some tracks from vinyl to digital audio...

its been a while since i played any vinyl :roll: ...what i am looking for is advice on what products and techniques should i use to clean my vinyl to get the best sound out of them and not damage the vinyl in the process

figured there are some pretty knowledgeable people here

links would be helpful for any products

Anti static liquid and some non-dusting clod. Theres some cheap vinyl cleaning kits like this.

seems that there is a lot of discussion about windex but the concensus is that that is bad

i think i will try the distilled water, alcohol, dawn method first

butter or even lard is the best, its the only thing that doesnt degrade the grooves, and when wiped clean it takes the dust particles with it... one of my dj friends recommend using a steak to wipe it clean
