Ive got 3 copies of the Invaders green 7" single (2 from recordstore but bought at different times & 1 from a local shop) and they are all warped from new :(

Does anybody have one that isnt warped?
After the excellent quality pressing of the LP i was hoping this 7" would be just as good but it seems not.

Mine isn't warped. Maybe they have been stored somewhere to hot before you got it? Try flattening it out by putting it on a flat, hard base and putting books or something on it.

Basically i mean the record itself is not 100% flat on both sides when you lay it down.
They all play ok on one side but on the other side the edges of the record turn up in places and do not grip the slipmat. This makes the sound speed up and slow down.
Many 7" vinyls have this problem, its a shame :(

Here is a youtube video of a random warped record, my IMD green ones are not as bad as that but they are still not good

Where you you live the_one? Climate is usually the biggest culprit for warped vinyl.

Some turntables allow you to get around the problem by placing a weight on the disc around the spindle.

I wish i did live somewhere warm enough to warp vinyl but sadly im near Cambridge, England.
And the other 4000 odd records i have are fine on the shelf so its not that!

Its quite common for 7s to be like this, my parents have many that play ok on one side but not so well the other.
Perhaps warped was the wrong word, they are more like a bowl. The vinyl is evenly bending upwards very slightly on one side which is why it only plays well on one side, its nearly impossible to notice until you play it though.

Pretty close to me then 8-)

Upon closer inspection to my vinyls that I do not play.... One of mine is warped, but I'm not bothered I dont have a record player anyways

I'm just a collector of things I play all the time and things I dont play and leave in there packaging for years
