My mum just randomly decided to change our internet provider because it's cheaper. We have one of those BT home hub things now, what ever it seems ok I got everything set up alright but we had an optical line with virgin before and this one is through the phone line. So I'm concerned about how it will perform during peak hours! For starters they told my mum some bullshit about the broadband being faster, it's not I just tested it: d/l: 5.5 u\l 0.34. The d/l speed of previous was around 10 mb so it's literally half the speed.

the thing that pisses me off the most though is that they have changed our home telephone number and didn't even bother telling my mum. Now it's not so much of a problem for me as I don't use it but fuck me, how could they leave out a massive detail like that? What a bunch of absolute wankers, they're going to have an absolute dickhead on the other end of the phone sometime this week. Tossers....

Plus something feels really weird. We've had the same telephone number for 18 years, it makes me feel really sad that it's changed for some reason
