Aye it is a piece of history, if that would of been released i'm not sure they would of taken off in the US as much as they did, Breathe seemed more logical
Somewhere in the depths of my house I have the original A4 XL Recordings advert for that summer including Minefields being listed as the next Prodigy single.

I seriously doubt £400 for this. Drummers demo tape went for a little bit more.
I think I'll pass on this one. 1-200 max

yeah no problem, I'll upload them this weekend... I WILL be uploading mp3 rips of the cassettes too, I'll upload the leeroy tape rips on the day the auction ends and I'll upload the minefields rips and piccies at the same time. Should I post them all in this thread, or make a new one somewhere, or in a different thread...?

Well well well... To those people who were saying "upload the mp3s here, a true collector will want to buy the tape anyway".... You were so wrong!
I've been asked to sign a contract saying that I won't upload a copy of the tape before or after I have sold it, otherwise the buyer will retract all bids. It's looking like this Leeroy tape will go for £100 +.
To those of you that are probably going to start 'bashing' me because of this, saying it's a cop-out and bullshit or whatever, I'm more than happy to send the conversation on to you that I've been having with one of the bidders, minus the identity of the bidder of course.
So, like I said in an earlier post, if you want to hear it, bid on it!
That being said, I'll still upload pictures of the minefields tape this weekend.
Cheers!

No. It's just a collector who doesn't want anyone else to have a copy of it.
What if the winning bidder isn't this person who wants a contract? Tell them it's your property and you can do what you wish and if they want to retract their bid they are welcome to. If they win it will only be a few quid so you won't lose out (esp if it goes for a high price anyway)

I get what you're saying... But the very bottom line is, from my perspective is.... What would I rather have, $200 or some people I've never met on a website have an mp3? :D of course I'm going to go for the first option! I've had these tapes and a few other prized items in my collection for years, I never dreamt I would sell them. But, love is a powerful thing... I want a wedding, not a few tapes :p

As it's been written here before, it's your tape, you can do what you want with it. If you think it's going to affect the sale value then don't do it. Personally, I'd like to hear it, but it's not the end of the world if I don't.
As for signing a contract, sounds this bidder's trying to play you for a fool. What if another mp3 copy appeared (unlikely I know), would he be able to prove if it's your rip or not? Of course he wouldn't. A contract like that isn't worth the bytes in this message I'm typing now. Personally I'd tell the guy if he doesn't like it then tough. He's not enough of a fan to own something like this anyway.

I think his main concern was me posting the mp3 rip here on Brainkiller. And yes, if someone else was to post a different rip of it, that would be beyond my control. But as he is essentially my customer I guess, I'll respect his wishes and won't post a rip anywhere.
