I like them all except I tend to skip "Flat of the Blade", i don't really like this track, It's too little melodious, monotonous, boring. Although I really dig the instrumental vertion as an opener on their gig's (Moscow last year). I hope I can catch them live this year.

I pretty much like all of them. I love Paradise Circus, Atlas Air, Girl I Love You... I get this special feeling when I listen them, you know what I mean.

Not too keen on Psyche, Flat of the Blade and Saturday Come Slow... yet. I'm very sure they will grow on me, cause that's what Massive Atack's music always does.

voted for girl i love you
the rest of them are close behind.
i could tell which ones i don't like: psyche (i prefer the flash treatment from the EP) and flat of the blade (which i think it could of stayed as an instrumental)

It was Babel, but having listened to the album on CD I think actually Splitting The Atom is my fave. It didn't hit me to start with, but as the months have gone by from it's radio premiere in August 09 I've grown to love it. I love the vibe, the old skool MA style, the Daddy G vocals, in fact all of the vocals, and the lyrics are great, and also the production is perfect and warm with the bass. Babel is second, those beats rule.

The whole album is great, although Flat Of The Blade doesn't do much for me. I think Paradise Circus is my third fave, it's beautiful and the strings at the end are perfect. This album is one of the few albums these days with decent artwork too...

It's amazing live, too. The light show is "immense", as these kids of today would call it.

I'm still yet to listen to the album. I ordered it on Amazon on Sunday so hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow through Super Saver delivery. 8-)

Saturday come Slow is my favourite track on the album at the moment.

Enjoy the whole album though, not found myself skipping any tracks as of yet! Other favourites include Paradise Circus and Psyche.

Paradise Circus (Gui Boratto Remix) from the remixes also. Been listening to the album a lot over the last couple of weeks, it's fantastic! Was speaking to my cousin a couple of weeks ago he was due to interview the guys in a weeks time and he's written an article here http://www.theskinny.co.uk/article/9850 ... o-man-army worth a read!

P.S. anyone been following the massive attack blog? Some good shit on there, doing a fair bit of promo for 3D's artworks! I dig his style man

Atlas Air !!!

I was on their gig 3 months ago and 10 minutes version of this track (which was then called Marakesh) totally blows my mind there and crept under my skin! And special visual effects during this song were absolutely the best they shown! Amazing...

Just watch second half of this:

Girl I Love You
Psyche (prefered the Flash Treatment but I still prefer album version over some other album tracks)
Paradise Circus
Atlas Air

alone, tracks like Flat of the Blade are merely OK, but overall great listen from beginning to end!

I've given the album a few listens now. To be honest, I love it. So many of the tracks are top notch, and in my opinion it deserved to be higher than number 6 in the albums chart this week.

I'm not so big on Flat Of The Blade like many of you (though it gets better near the end) and I'll probably be replacing Psyche with the EP version on my iPod.

However, I absolutely love Paradise Circus. I believe it's one of Massive Attack's greatest works and it matches the quality of most of the tracks on Mezzanine. I'm also really feeling Girl I Love You, Rush Minute (this track deserves more love tbh :)), Pray for Rain and Splitting The Atom.

Speaking of Splitting The Atom, does anyone else get the urge to do a robot dance whenever the song is played? The stabs make it so jilty, I just can't help it!

OMG I can't choose !

I need to note Heligo Land is a fucking masterpiece....

I wasn't really convinced after the first listen...but damn me.

This album has grown so much on to me now and I can understand the lyrics so good because some of them just make sense in what I do in life.

If I'd have to pick a a favourite.... then I'm gonna go for Girl I Love You,

1 . Girl I Love You <- Horace Andy sounds awesome on this one
2 . Paradise Circus <- No words , absolute masterpiece from the boys
3 . Flat of the Blade <- Some parts of the lyrics make me think about myself
4 . Pray for Rain <- It's like watching National Geographic in your mind, rain to sunlight, and back to rain, I love it
5 . Splitting the Atom <- The boys plus Horace on 1 track, how can I NOT love it
6 . Atlas Air <- Hardcore lyrics, and cleverly produced, hardcore stuff
7 . Rush Minute <- Ok track, and 3D does the full monty on this one, don't like the abrubt ending
8 . Saturday Come Slow <- Ok.
9 . Babel <- Meh
10 . Psyche <- Mehhhhhh.
