ughum, by live i meant live instruments. that jenkis/jenkins/jedikiss/jewkiss dude kicks ass, BUT the beats are electronic = not live. he doesn't play the beats, cuz he cant play multiple instruments at once (well some can). orchestras play live. come the fuck on. people forgot what the word live means.

switching on loops and samples plus playing some lead ontop, doesnt mean ur playing live goddamn it

But a lot of electronic music isnt made by live instruments?

Your definition of live may differ from others as Leftfield played Homelands in 1999 with a full 'LIVE' set which consisted of people on separate synths and percussion, showing loads of skill in the process.

It can be done and has been done, you can't live in the dark ages forever and claim playing 'live' means strumming a guitar as it takes just as much skill to fire off samples on an Mpc in sync and play parts of a record.

Sarah, i'm not talking about how it's made. i'm talking about how it is performed.

Ableton is amazing n perfect for doing electronic music live, alright dance music isn't like a proper live rock-band, but I reckon Liam should experiment more n break down every part from all the songs n trigger more stuff live, along with extra parts, either way make every live performance more unique. Not to criticize, but it really does seem that all Liam does is hit the play n stop buttons n play a few parts over the top on his synths. I dunno, maybe he doesn't change the tracks n do something like I said above n piss with the arrangements cause of Keith n Maxim (as well as Rob n Leo)? They have to know whats going on in the songs to know when to come in n that

just an example.the synth riffs in tmtth, the ones from the beggining of the track also the other ones on the chorus.he could definetely trigger those live.it would be great, but instead it's just a sample on the laptop.always sounds the same.
i loved breathe when he was using his roland, still triggering beats and shit.now it's just a normal sample, always the same.it still rocks live because of the live drums and the guitar who bring a nice feeling to the performance.

you still love the guys cause the liver performance is still like nothing else in this world, but i hate that he replaced live triggering and medling with samples with play buttons in a software.
in reality i hate people rely so much on software these days for live performances.
it's like this guy,he started in the 90's with synths on stage and he ended up using now just a laptop.just a freakin laptop.and no matter how versatile a software is it can't replace a good old key punchin'

Does none of you remember what liam said about the people questioning his live play?
"

let me explain to the dicks out there who r apparently confused about what i do live. i got two apple mac laptops running ableton bak to bak. with ableton u can trigger audio in any way at any time.the carcuss of the tunes run from the laptops with maybe some of the keyboard parts -samples missing that i play live.most guitars r taken off and rob plays them.ableton is basically about triggering parts of the songs and thats why the set is different everytime. there is no bakup but the chance of both computers goin down is slim.whoever that tit was who said it was a cd with shouting over is a prick and i find that insulting. bye bye
"
