Just rewatched the only movie that has truly scared the living shit out of me:
Threads
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090163/
It's upped on Youtube if you think you can stomach it. Be warned though, it's not for the faint hearted.
Trust me, you won't sleep for a week.

And on a completely different tack, just got back from seeing Valentine's Day with a (girl) friend.
6/10 not bad for a romcom/drama. And Julia Roberts is surprisingly unirritating (can't stand her usually..).
The last 10 minutes brings it all together quite nicely. There's definitely a couple of things you won't guess.

Yeah i thought so. better than the 3D shit they attempted without Pixar (apart from Meet The Robinsons, I love that!) It's a nice return to the 2D animation, my favourite since The Emperor's New Grove. I thought a couple of the characters were a bit lame and the villians demise was a bit quick/lame, but it was a good story, couldve been better though, i'd give it a 7/10.

The Departed... fukin awesome.. Mark Whalberg and Jack Nicholson completely owned that movie Would like checking out the original Chinese flick this was based on.. see how they match.. A few shots in there seemed straight out of Asian cinema.. wasnt surprised to find later that Scorcese lifted a few shots exactly out of the original http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infernal_affairs
Next on the to watch list is Hitchcock's Spellbound.

also DiCaprio and Matt Damon do their jobs.
The Hurt Locker - in my opinion this is the Oscar movie. I'm traumatized watching this one, especially the last scene. i wonder how the soldiers fell after a scene like that when you see it live.

The Wolfman. The new one with Benicio del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, and Hugo Weaving as Agent Smith. If you see it I defy you to not hear everything he says, as him. 'Soooo, Misterrrrrrr Taaaaalbot, I seeeeee weee've got a praaaaaablem...'
Bloody good it is otherwise. 8/10
