I wanted to know what the BK crew has to say. Do you think WOF will ever be replaced as the opener for the gigs? I would LOVE the setlist to be completely revamped but I can't concieve it happening :/. what do you think?

WoF should be later in the set...
i always thought Omen Reprise/IMD Re-amped would be a much better opener then into Omen, then to Breathe/Dub and the usual.
i say they go fuck it, go crazy, and open with Piranha!
fuck, bring back B&E '05 as an opener, that was killer when i saw em in NYC for Their Law tour.
they really should switch it up, there are so many tracks in their catalog that deserve to be fucking boomed live.

fuck wof, it lost its drive after hearing it so often...
in saarbrücken '05 at the electricity festival, they played wake the fuck up as an opener, what a bomb!!!
but what would really shake the crowd is wind it up, especially that synth sound where keith is crawling on the bench in the video, boy what an opener

I never really thought about it, but you've got a good point, its been an opener for around 2 years now, would be cool to have something different, unleash something new even.
they opened up with their law a couple times i think though, liam did vary it a little last year but its basically just the same most of the time.
i say bring a new opener too, something really mad, break and enter 05 would be awesome but i couldn't see that happening, even mescaline as an opener would be alot better.

I've always considered wof as a great opener, but it may have lost some if it's power these past 2 years. I still love it, but of course we all would like them to play more and different tracks, that's always going to be the same story It's never enough.
I think wof, wtfu, b&e really make a good point as an opener, I don't think mescaline does. It's one of my favourite tracks, but it doesn't really suit as an opener, it fits more after a hard tune just to say: yeah we can still go alot harder. So imo it would suit better after breathe, than before it. It's also a great finisher, but before oos, which I consider a great one to end with, even though turning off the sound and have the people sing is pretty lame. I also think the sit-down part of smbu needs to be removed and have more maxim screaming instead. I don't think the omen reprise- imd-diesel-smbu order should ever be switched, I find it really amazing. It feels like these tunes were meant to be played in that order.
I'd also prefer to hear warning again instead of firestarter, although it is a great build up towards rwtw. I also miss spitfire. Putting in one of the older tracks from time to time would also be very nice :D
I guess this is a bit early for a santa wishlist and a little bit too much info since you were only asking about wof so sorry for that.

No, I love reading what people have to say on here. I completely agree about Mescaline, it should after something hard, to prove that they can be hard again if they choose to.
Personally, I just want them to ditch the hits. Obviously Breathe, Smack, and Poison need to stay because they are great as a performance and for the crowd to join in with, but i think it's time to throw away Firestarter, Omen, and maybe even Warriors Dance (in exchange for No Good). No doubt I love these tracks, but I've seen them live so much now that I want a change.

WOF 2.0 is dead to me, its great for the first minute until that fuck-awful album version shit comes into play, it doesnt work AT ALL, i dont know why the FUCK THEY INSIST ON KEEPING IT like it. the whole crowd kinda loses momentum at that moment, its like, yay, lovely synth line ''la la la la then BAM BAM FUCK, wait.. what, why did that just happen'' its un-natural, n i bet if u asked liam about it hed get mad, cos in the back of his mind he knows its shit, and wont take it back to how it was cos his pride n ego as leader may take a hit. it was a dumb move to begin with, n i cant believe that shit ended up on the final master.

I disagree...i think the breaking up of World's On Fire was done to fuck with your head while your listening to it, the original wof was a more conventional track, the album version is fucked up and that's what The Prodigy is about...I dont know if I'm the only one with this opinion...but that's how I feel. I love it.

Without a shadow of a doubt. In fairness i do like WOF as the opener, but out of the current set i'm not sure what else would work as a good opener. Liam likes to have a breathing space in the set i.e Omen Reprise so i don't think he'd refer that as an opening track in the future.
Possibly going forward a new track is the most viable option, before it was Break n Enter 05, WTFU and going back a few years before it was SMBU.
So it looks like were stuck with WOF till Liam pulls his finger out and writes a new banger of a track.

I know exactly what you mean. That raw, fucked up prodigy sound. I do prefere the original WOF by a long shot, the 2.0 version is very Prodigy. If they do bring out a new opener, they should bring back the original WOF for later in the set, with the pause before the vamp sample.
