after 3 days of filling my DVR with nothing but the history channel (most with the topic of 2012), they have successfully brainwashed me into believing it, though i still find some flaws in it
anyways, just wated to ask the BKers opinions on it.

i remember being young and everyone was on about the world ending in the year 2000, i think its just a scare tactic, i mean if there really was proof then the whole world would have stopped working by now, that's what i believe anyway.
i never watched the movie about it, but i think you need to take into consideration its man made, its not something god wrote with his own hands, and what men seeked back in those old old days was power and that's how i see a lot of religions and things related to them anyway there are some religious rules that if there is a god would never have put into rules, I'm not talking about small cults either, I'm talking about Christianity, Judaism and the Muslim faith among others.

well to be honest, i'd not trust the ancient mayas if one of them offered me a bottle of milk, so why would i about the world ending ?
idk times were very different back then compared to now, theres no real proof apart from some tribal words that have probably through the age of time been manipulated and changed.

like most of these things, the real truth is a bit boring.
it was just the end of their calender period before they went back to the beginning again. kinda like a game resetting after you reach 999999999 points.
people have been predicting the end of the world without success for thousands of years now, but we're all still here lol
it's all down to scare mongers misinterpreting stuff they don't really understand. same thing happens with nostradamus!

well, i dunno; didnt he predict WWI and WWII, and the 9/11 attack?
plus, he wrote a book, i guess, and they were doing like a massive background on it with like pictures, and what they're suppose to represent.

It's as likely as any one main religion being correct imo.
Just thought I'd add in a bit of controversy haha

If you are a jehovas witness, you believe the world will end every ~10 years, and when it doesnt happen, you find a new day 10 years into the future. Imagine how stressfull THAT must be, even though they are kind of used to it by now!
