Oh my god man you dont even know what I'm talking about. This track is pure rock / metal mixed with dnb, something like mush up. If you compare this track to Prodigy tracks, I must say that you're an idiot.

before pendulum did drum and bass they were actually a punk rock band

ok i like pendulum (well their pre- in silico stuff) but this album sounds like half of it is made up of recycled samples from slam and fasten your seatbelts to (for some reason) hook people in who liked their first album which isn't a really good idea , i mean where is the creativity in that , also not keen on the vocals (i was enjoying a couple of the tunes till they came in) otherwise i like the rest of it, not sure if its gonna be a sale from me though , but when i compare this to some of the other wank shit other people listen to right now its not so bad , but if we are comparing dnb well in my opinion i think Noisia have blown pendulum out of the water with their album , would be interesting to find out a month after pendulums album is out who is doing better in the sales coz i think Noisia deserve it more they've at least brought something fresh to the table

That song featuring In Flames sounds like an In Flames song featuring nobody. And it's not even a good In Flames song. Dont know what the fuck it's doing in the pendulum album. So out of palce.

Hard to judge from snippets but so far seems like in silico. Some great ideas and missed opportunities.

Salt in the wounds and Immunize are awesome though. They really need to do more tunes with their MC. I know he gets a lot of shit for yelling over their older tracks but The Vulture is pretty good. I don't know why they shelved ransom, a colab with Noisia on that track could have been brilliant.

The structure of all of pendulum's newer songs are all practically the same. A lot of these new songs seem to lack a lot of melody. I do enjoy some of these songs (from the 60 sec previews from their youtube). I think the full album will be interesting.

I think pendulum is too comfortable in their process, makes a lot of the ideas sound stale. Get a thin synth to play the melody for a short period, then just bounce into a weird break beat with absolutely no melody whatsoever, and then repeat. Drums have gotten pretty generic and whatever (except that first track, which is pretty not-them, but awesome).. I also love the 8bit sounds.

There seems to be a good bit of other genre inspirations though.. like the one dancey track...

Again, I'll wait until the final release
