This is apparently proof of concept footage to try and build interest for a new mortal kombat movie... looks pretty damn cool...

damn i was just about to post it myself.pretty cool although i don't like that they dropped the whole magic concept entirely.would have been nice to see scorpion do some real cool shit again.i wonder how are they going to make subzero freeze people

Sub Zero freezing people? Science fiction... enphasis on fiction... it's the trick every hollywood writer uses nowadays if he wants to make something "gritty and realistic"...

i hope they get to make it... and also hope they get to introduce the fantasy aspects a little bit at a time in the movie...

Hmm there is no Mortal Kombat atmosphere, magic etc. Now on average I like it but we will see.

Outworld will be involved etc.. all will be revealed in the storyline just a bit at a time..

i'm not to sure, practically every video game based movie sucks ass, even if the trailers look awesome.

its simple really, MK was designed as a one on one fighter, nothing less and nothing more, the first mortal kombat was shit, along with street fighter (The Movies).

I'm sorry but... FUCKING EPIC. I get these goosebumps cause I remember watching Mortal Kombat the movie when I was a kid... nowadays that movie is so incredibly shit... it's time for a nice revive.

I love how the teaser is an interrogation, and tells Mortal Kombat in a very different way. I'm not fan of superhero shit, but this looks like an awesome plot. I love how there are so many connections with the old story.

We'll see how this turns out... prbably half of what I expect.

I know I am in the minority here but this looks fucking retarded. The action scenes will be pretty good no doubt, and MJW is pretty good at what he does.

But what does this have to do with Mortal Kombat? As a hardcore MK fan that knows the story inside and out it just seems silly in what they've done to the story. It seems hilarious in how they've changed Baraka into a crazed plastic surgeon who altered his appearance and puts some blades into his forearms, who also has crazy Martial Art skills too. I guess him being an Outworld warrior in the original story was too far fetched?

I'm gonna call it now, this movie is an EPIC FAIL. The original MK movie was decent, but this? (if it gets made)

I hope they do a good job, but seriously... The majority of people that will want to see it will be MK fans and will pick it apart like hardcore RE fans did with the RE movies. The only good RE being the CGI one.
