Woke up in the in the middle of the night to the sound of something running on the roof of my house. /twilight zone song.

Heard 3 loud bang noises that woke me up, sat up in bed and heard something run on the roof and I guess jump off. I looked out the window and didn't see anything. Man I hope I was dreaming.

Nope. No one else heard what I did besides the dog. He started barking and then went back to sleep like me.

I'm fucking hungry but I have to walk/go by bike to get food... I don't have the energy cause I'd like to eat first...

Been feeling in Limbo all week about this intern position.

It was a week before I heard back from him saying "I'm going to discuss it with such and such tomorrow and we'll organise an interview date for you"

Well that was on Tuesday night and I'm still waiting. How long does it take to organise an interview? Summer will be finished by the time they do....

Hopefully you get started soon and don't have to deal with a lot of crap.

My first freelance job I did took a while to get going. Had to be done in 2 days. Then I had to want forever to get paid. They contacted me April 21. Set up an interview for the 26th. Interview went great said they wanted to start me out as freelance but if I hit them out of the park he'd have to make me full time.

May 1st wrote him a thank you letter for the interview and let him know I was waiting for an update on any projects he had for me. May 4th he writes back for me to come in asap to talk about the project. So May 5th I go in and we discuss the project they needed done. Even though he agreed to my rate he wants to set a flat rate for the project. The project has to be done in less then 2 days from the meeting. I'm wasn't sure how long it will take me to finish it. I guessed it would take me 20 hours. Well it ended up taking me 28 hours not counting any time I ate, was on brainkiller or anything else.

I slept Wednesday night but not Thursday in order to meet the 9am deadline Friday mourning. It took longer because one image they gave me looked like crap and was pixelated to hell. So I had to redraw the whole thing. After I e-mailed them the concepts. I thought one of the concepts wasn' quite right so I worked on it for another 2 hours. I e-mail them the update.

Go to lay down as at this point I hadn't slept in almost 30 hours and the phone rings at around 12. They love the concepts everything looks good. They just have a few small changes they like done to them. Well it turns out they want a lot of changes to all but one of the six concepts. So I thinking whatever I can work on this a little later or the next day. I ask when they need them by and he tells me they need them by 5 so they can show the client that day.

So I work on it until almost 5 but I didn't have time to re-due 2 of the concepts as it required me to re-due the layout. I e-mail them the 3 revised concepts then finish the other 2 a little later. So all together I figure it took me 34 hours to do.

So five days past and I don't hear anything else so I e-mail them asking how the concepts went. I get a reply thanking me for the revisions saying they look great. And that their meeting with them at 3.

On May 15th he e-mails me about another project. I ask him for more details about the project before I agree to a fee and I don't hear back from him.

So May 24th I e-mail him again asking him if he still need that project done and when I should expect payment by. I get a reply to send them an invoice. I make one and put that payments due by June 7 one month from completion. I also note that checks must be made out to me and not my company name.

Well June 7th comes and no paypal payment or check in the mail. So I said a nice friendly remained that I still hadn't received payment. Another week passes and no reply no payment so I e-mail them again. This time I get a reply that they mailed it out in the afternoon on Monday.

Well I don't get it until Thursday and it was postmarked Wednesday not Monday or Tuesday. They also made the check out to my company and not me as I had clearly requested. Lucky I was able to still cash it. So a 2 day project almost took 2 months from when they first contacted me until I got paid.

Fuck sake man that's brutal. Didn't you agree to a contract before the work was undertaken? It's something I always get told to do.

I shall not be here tomorrow. So I'll tell you what annoyed me tomorrow today...

My sisters cat died last night.

He had a blood clot is his aorta that made him lose the function of his legs and his lungs filled with fluid. He had congestive heart failure too. Fucking heart breaking to see him scared dragging himself along. He wouldn't let anyone touch him but me so I had to put him in his carrier and drive to the vet ER.

Yeah he made out the contract on the 5th too. That's why he made me come up with how long it would take. He told me he wanted to get to a point where he could just call me up and I could do a project, but after all that fuck if I'm doing it without a contract. And next time I'm gonna make sure I overestimate my time and that it states on the contract when payment is due by. Also that I send an invoice with the project. I just didn't want to come off as being pushy about the payment but fuck he made me have to keep asking. I still tried to be as nice as I could about it.

I had 5 stiches on ma finger hurts so much now that it wore off... and what annoys me is that it wasnt ma fault but a colege had a knife in his pocket on his shoulder and i tapped him to thank him and i pulled ma hand away and boomm.... blood bath lol ironacly i warned him about it when i saw him in the morning lol

the only good thing is ill have at least 3 days off
