Dubstep is the most boring kind of music iv heard in such a long time, that said, there are bits of it i like, but a full on dubstep album/tracks? god no
A friend described dubstep and it made me laugh... dubstep is like you have this really hot woman in bed its all building up lots of foreplay and jsut as you expect some amazing sex... she gets up and leaves
All that build up for nothing

it's great that they touch on the pulse of the sub genre's but, like Gabba, it's a fresh sound for the live audience to feel fresh. I'm sure there is a large percent of the people in the audience who here Breathe Dubstep and near shit themselves. That being said, a seperate Prodigy Dubstep should be started, not to be discussed here.
Zane touched on a topic earlier in regards to the shift from one album to the other. And some forum members also mentioned that Liam is at his creative peak when he's live. I would look forward to an album that dips back into him using synth melodies. There are times when I wish he would just recycle that moog bit from BGAT because it's great, and he knows how and when to use them. I hope he doesn't feel he needs to remake FOTL as in guitars/darkness/anger. Theyre past that, and darkness is gone from music. I just want a feirce pitbull with a lollipop in its mouth

that's more the description I would have given to progressive house/trance
if that description was 100% valuable (it's not bad but not 100%), then it would mean that music like jungle or older rave is in a way like having sex with a granny. I guess you like that kind of music, but I don't think you like sex with grannies, do you?
EDIT: I just read the previous Dubstep comments... I don't care if Liam makes Dubstep or not. I like his Breathe and Thunder Dubstep remixes, but like Cogglesz I just want Liam to do music that is his. whatever the fuck he does I know I'll appreciate

Agent Orange wrote: Fuck dubstep... is everyone going to fuck?! I mean... dubstep, a subgenre... and you actually want Prodigy to sound like it. So far, the dubstep remixes are horrible for me... so fucking boring sounding. Seriously, guys... That's just bullshit. Really. Honestly. Why would Prodigy be making dubstep, stereotypically, boring, slow, too much same shit. It's like Drum&Bass of these days. Meh. Seriously guys. I'm REALLY confused. Why? Don't you all want something different?
+1
There's nothing in common between The Prodigy and Dubstep shit.

With all the things said, the beats and the fresh electronic noises would be perfect
most dubstep is terrible
if you listen to excisions shambala mixes that will show you that dubstep is quite fresh.
also...listening to the new prodigy fill proves that they ARE producing dubstep...most of the new tracks reworked are dubstep

Kind of agree with this in parts. But that's kind of missing the point of good dubstep, it's a different vibe. It's supposed to sound different, be different.
It's silly to think The Prodigy would ever release a dubstep album, but some parts of it may be influenced by the genre. Liam likes it, going on recent evidence of the remixed older tunes. Whether that vibe will transfer over into the new album who knows?
I personally think they have found their feet with IMD, it was a great album in that sense. Safe in a way, full of bangers, a reminder that they still have it in spades. With the 6th LP I hope Liam gets a bit more experimental, almost everyone is calling out for a much darker album, a similar vibe to Jilted perhaps.
Above all else I hope we don't have to wait another 5 years, I voted for an optimistic 2012, if anything gets released by then I'll be more than happy!

i think omen would have sounded cool with swear words, like on the stage "Its a Fucking Omeeen"

Ive seen threads similar to this on this forum pre AONO, and pre IMD - let me sum up what will most likely become of this discussion -
it will be dark, but dancey, with punk influences
just like every prodigy album.

A new era in the studio, i can feel that this is like the transition between MFJG and FOTL. Thei next show is in April 2011 i think so lets hope that they would test out some new tunes

Man Dubstep is commercial now days! Liam doesnt do commercial! He will be looking to take certain influence from some types of music but then he does what no one else does, he pushes the boundry in a different direction, a direction no one else is going in and then all the the copycats try and do the same and by the time they start catching up Liam has moved on to the next!
I dont mind a bit of Dubstep but for me the majority of it doesnt really go anywhere! The dubstep remixes that Liam throws in to the live sets kick arse but again he is pushing those remixes in a different direction almost away from Dubstep and stamping his own mark on it.
The next album will continue the trend that Liam has always followed, pushing the boundry forward and if you dont like it then f%$k you. Thats their way and always has been.
Leave the tenny bopping to Method Man and the like!

Progress Is Made wrote: You either have to despise dubstep and dnb. or you are retarded I'm just sayin' a Prodigy's take on dubstep would be quite lame, considering there's loads of Prodigy dubstep remixes floating around. Progress Is Made wrote: Seriously orange, the prodigy making a dubstep influenced track would be the fucking bomb. That being said, a jazz-influenced Prodigy track would be the bomb too, or an orchestral-influenced Prodigy track... or a trance-influenced track would be the bomb, or an acapella track would be... or blues, or metal, or minimal... or... Lady Gaga collaboration. I mean, Lady Gaga also is really, REALLY fresh, and so are Rihanna, Justin Bieber. A Prodigy version of Umbrella, whoa! Pffff get my point? It doesn't matter, most things Prodigy releases are interesting on their own. I'd rather hear any of the stuff I suggested than a dubstep influenced track. There's loads of Prodigy remixes in dubstep formula, so you should be happy already. Progress Is Made wrote: You either have to despise dubstep and dnb. or you are retarded
I despise it. It's just all over the fucking place. From every bedroom people produce dubstep on their own, everything gets a fucking dubstep makeover... it's just another copy-of-a-copy-of-a-copy type of things, no much for me to get exited about. Just some rules you need to apply, almost stereotypically. Slow beat, wibbly wobbly, wannabe very tough sounds and synths. Nah, Prodigy has their own game.
By the way, this excision shambala, I listened to it. So, lets say Prodigy releases a track like this. What then? You'll probably get this 'Charly killed Rave' thing all over again, but this time 'Overdrive (future Prodigy track name) killed Dubstep'. Not gonna work
