you're pointing out people that are on the tip of the iceberg of rentability just because that's where they are. but these guys are at the same spot within their genre where Liam was around 15 years ago for electronica in general. and they do exactly what he did 15 years ago. they do WHAT THE FUCK THEY WANT
if I wanted to point out what is commercial dubstep, I'd point a dubstep equivalent of Benny Benassi. but I just don't know one

With all Liams dubstep(ish) re-works during the IMD tour (i.e. Charly, Thunder, Breathe), I can definitely see Liam doing something similar on the next album. Alright it might not be traditional grimey soundin dubstep with all the wobbles n that, but more a heavy half-time approach to the tracks. Who says Liam has to do dubstep n make it sound exactly like what everyone else is doing? No one, he'll more than likely just nick elements of it n work his own style around them. Basically what I'm getting at is, I wouldn't be surprised if Liam did some dubstep soundin tracks, but they definitely wont be what you'd expect, they'll still have that frantic 'Prodigy' sound.

what i was trying to point out is that everyone raves about these guys...
like ya said they're at the top of that genre.
when they're the shittiest examples of dubstep and all 3 of their albums completely blew.
yet they're the big names of the dubstep that most people know.
that's all i was trying to say.
if people base their opinion on dubstep being shit according to these top 3 artists, i think you're missing a good chunk of the genre that is actually good music.
and i thought the Breathe and Thunder Dubstep mixes along with the new fill with Poison are good examples of how Liam could take the dubstep influence and freshen it up with that Prodigy sound.

P.S they're working with Skream...thats enough evidence that its gonna be dubstep-influenced if it ever see's the light of day and doesnt get binned.

the prodigy has defined themselves as their own genre
they do not make genre albums, they make albums. They don't go to genre's to influence the shape of their albums, their albums are the melting pot, the funeral home, the birth ward of GENRE'S. So Take the whole 'dubstep will be the next album' discussion out of here, the next album will have a dubstep track in it only because Skream said he's doing something with them. That's all there is to that. The next album is a PRODIGY album, period.

Flint will continue with the work he has planned with ‘The Prodigy’, which includes beginning work in the New Year on their latest album.
so, this means that they'll only start working on a new album starting new years
they need to shed more light on the skream collaboration, im sure that he will play a co-production role on one or two tracks just like James Rushent.

I don't expect a new Prodigy album for quite a long time. I'm ok with IMD for a good while though seeing as it's such a good album. Quality is better in the long run. Just not a 7 year gap again, that's taking the piss. I don't think it will be that, like 4-5 year gap after IMD seems probable. Maybe the odd tune or remix between now and then...
As for Dubstep, Liam has already proved he can dabble in the field, but just think how dated the album will sound when it comes out in a few years time? Won’t be fresh will it? So doubt there’ll be much of a Dubstep nature…
