now c'mon, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and tastes in music, if we all stuck to the same thing it would get shitty and boring.

dubstep is just another genre out of the hundreds out there, just because you don't like it doesn't mean you have to start having a go at everyone who does like it, you don't see everyone making threads up about a genre they hate and spam the fucker into a prodigy section, most of us will live happily with genre's we don't like because we feel everyone is entitled to listen to what they want. my views about dubstep isn't going to change anything in this thread so i wont even bother, you've just thrown a voodoo remix and planted it in the prodigy studio thread but this thread has fuck all to do with prodigy, this should be in the music section for a start and second of all why even bother listening to the genre if you hate it ? why go on youtube and waste about 15 minutes of your life looking for something that you don't even like.

i think it has become the new clique/fad to say you hate dubstep now

i was just performing last night/early this morning and had quite a few requests from people for some dubstep tunes

Dubstep is just like every other genre....

trance
house
drumandbass
breaks

the vast majority of it all sucks and sounds the same.

But within every genre are artists who push the boundaries and make it sound goddam amazing.

the way its always been....the way it always will be.

Because I tried to understand this "genre", I didn't want to give it the finger based on other people's opinion. But now I agree with absolutely everyone that says it's crap. You just can't say you're listening to "some dubstep tunes", because you're actually listening to ONE. It's all the same, only minor things changed, like in clubbing music, where you add a barely noticeable high-hat to a playing tune and you call it "a new tune".

And by the way, I didn't said anything about people listening and liking this, I just said I cannot understand how someone can actually like this crap. IMO, it's crap.

And the topic belongs here, because that remix was a fan remix. If you don't like it here, then move it.

haha

that was just what creates him a image.

No offence TDT you dont like dubstep. i respect that you have different opinion. and i dont dont feel need to change youre religion or anything but what i think is that some dubstep has got some stong strenght in it what i dont feel in most of the genres. some dubstep is real lame, new "dance music" movement, real maintream shitt.
but what can i say, i feel happy to experience good stuff.

i like dubstep, this is fucking awful though, the problem with dubstep now is its becoming a parody of itself..

more my cup of tea, Distance was at the beginning of the dubstep scene..

Speechless. How THE FUCK can someone like and call this shit "music" is beyond me. Some lame down-tempo shit from '98, every "DJ"'s excuse for a remix (who can't do a down-tempo remix with the same instruments over and over??). Wooble-wooble music, fucking up good tracks

You have to face it - average listener is a stupid fashion slave. "Genres" is sub folder of "fashion" which is sub folder of "religion" which is subfolder of "hey, i know the recipe, i'm smarter than my neighbor" which is subfolder of fear "i'm not part of the society" which is subfolder of "they gonna throw me away from Xmas bonuses" which is subfolder "i'm going to die without a profits" which is subfolder of human nature.

There are oceans of music around. Seas of genres. Rivers of remixes. Your own crystal lake you don't want to shit in. And if you ask me how to fill it clean I'd say you need a pure rain. Don't drink from Ganges, check out the cloulds. God knows how to leave shit on the land.

The fuck kind of example is that? Power up the bass cannon? what the.....

Like the majority of electronic music listening to shitty quality recordings on youtube isn't going to do anything any justice is it?

Some proper good dubstep with top notch headphones or a nice sound system can be just as good as any genre. Saying that you're right, the genre has been killed by all this wish wash wobble wobble bullshit.

I think most of it sucks but there are a few standout tracks, but the problem with dubstep(and DnB for that matter) is that its a dead end. Most of it sounds the same and like DnB it will go away eventually or evolve into something else. Something better hopefully...

this intro obviously isn't the reason i posted this vid, but what comes after it. why can't artist have some kind of sci-fi side thing?

without youtube it would be worse. and i think if you dont like vibe of the thing then it doesnt really mather what quality it is in.

do you think this is wobble wobble bullshitt mate? then, doesn't i know anything about dubstep or you should find some cotton sticks : )
