can anyone tell me what the ONE LOVE Silver Ring is worth that came with the limited edition black velvet boxed set ? someone wants to buy just the ring from my set and i know what to charge him because selling it will decrease the value of the entire set but then again if he pays me $100 or something like that maybe its worth selling it seperatly ???? thanks guys , BTW 1 more bearbrick IMD bundle left , i just sent out 2 of them today :)

The Buyer is from russia and offered me $300 which i think is a ok offer for just the ring , if he actually comes through with the payment i think i will sell it , i have 2 of those sets anyways , both are complete after searching and fighting for them lol :) so either way i will always keep one complete set :P

not many places engrave zippos at least not here in the USA the reason being , DIMOND ENGRAVING BITS ARE EXPENSIVE , you will engrave silver and gold faster then a zippo, also the zippos are nickle coted and theres a hughe chance the nickle will chip from engraving, besides this zippo is date stamped on the bottom dating it to the year when the set was released and so are all the zippos , if youre a collector you should know that , as far as the ring goes yeah you can buy a ring but i doubt you can match it exactly to this ring and all of the places here in USA only engrave the rings on the inside ( I find that really strage btw ), its really hard to find a place that will engrave a ring on the outside like this ring and if they do they have a very limited font selection , i went to a jewler and wanted to make a ring just like the one in the set accept in gold and in a bigger size as the ring in the set barely fits my pinky , i went to about 5 places all told me the same story that they dont engrave the outside of the ring as far as the cds go , sure you can buy them all seperatly but what are you going to do about the velvet box with the logo and the numbered certificate ? cut it out of cardboard and color it with pencils :P ???

Diamond Etching??

You don't need to do that at all, you can use Laser Etching or Chemical Etching.. done it countless times with Steel for signage and even for business cards.. its also pretty cheap to do.

Here I have access to a laser cutter, i've engraved iPods before for friends.. no big deal or expense to do so you could do a lighter... with no lighter fluid in it though just incase!

if you sell it, best sold as a set.

it keep it as a set. sure you can sell it split up but a person who buys the whole set is more likely to be a fan. I'd rather sell to a true fan than someone who might just want a cool ring or zippo. imho

btw: are you thinking of selling the set? *drools*

i cant find any laser engraving places in my area , im not sure why , maybe i would have to go to one of the bigger towns near where i live but i went to all local shopping centers and the only place i found that engraves zippos is about 1 hour away and uses Mini CNC Plotter , i wanted a zippo lighter with a logo i made on it and the guy said that he can only do fonts and logos limited to his computer or that they would have to be some sort of special file that the cnc plotter recognizes , as far as the sale goes i think the russian screwed me over and was only fishing for info on the ring , the only question is "why" ?, when he offered $300 i knew it sounded too good , oh well , at least ill keep both of the sets in tact :) , i can try to put up pics on the weekend accept i dont think the camera will pick up the detail well as the nickle surface is reflective like chrome so if i use flash it will glare and if i dont i dont think the details will show , one of the sets is for sale on discogs , i have it listed for $1000 or best offer cuz i kinda dont want to get rid of it because it took long long time to find both of these that are complete i spent over way over $1000 for these , i know i propably overpayed but i seen complete sets on ebay only 2 times and i got both of them lol , i think i propably have one of the biggest collections of prodigy material in the USA hehehe

some people would see that as overpriced, but I think it's one of the rarer promos also.
