It's almost out of context... because after that 'perfect assassin scene' he fucks up pretty much everything else. Way to go... that scene gave much hope that the movie would be 'smart, surprising and exiting'.

Just watched it today and it was below expectations.. Not the best thing he did lately

Well forget about CSI dudes and think like average person watching this movie. Blowing house with all his assasin documents destroys evidence of his living, right?

I just wrote a complete story about how fucking stupid this movie is, but somehow it got deleted. So fuck it... this movie is low standard, trying and failing at wannabe clever (smart, tough, cool, the shizz, epic). Cause, you know... Jason Statham is in it.

You don't need to be a CSI nerd to get that this movie fails at trying to be sophisticated. If this movie is 'great', then worse action movies than The Mechanic are 'good'. I can't agree on that. The standards are getting lower and lower with every basic action-based movie... I watched this movie in the cinemas... and normally I would sit and enjoy, but I got annoyed by so many factors, that I was on the brink of walking away. Don't you guys enjoy being sucked in a movie, and feeling part? The Mechanic felt forced and fake... and I couldn't enjoy much of the whole movie.

it was a simple and bad ass action movie for the guys.. Not a clever nerd movie..

It ain't so bad-ass and they TRY to be clever with Jason escaping the explosion and blowing up his own house and shit. Just bad, face it.

i dont need to "face" anything. I like the movie, you dont. Its a matter of personal taste.

Statham is great in a none-action movie called London where he plays a cocaine-addicted currency trader talking to another guy in the night club toilet the whole night long. Great movie!
