your argument is invalid.

I said about Rock Am Ring... not about the others gigs...

watched the dvd for 15 minutes then turned it off.
I'm too old for this fast editing shit.

Just finished watching it, I think its fuckin wicked, shame it wasn't the entire show but still good none-the-less.
Way too many shots of ugly fuckers in the crowd for the first few tunes before it gets really dark, cool after that though.

Think the film was always gonna have really quick choppy edits, didn't really annoy me that much though. Not as bad as Faithless Alexandra Palace dvd, the edits in that really fuckin do my eyes in, makes me literally cry its so hard on the eyes, this for me tho was heavy, loud n full of fuckin energy, just like it needed to be!

My grandfather has always told me "If you plan to do sth new, be sure you are prepared enough to do it in the best way. If you will do it just for the archives, and just to have done it, leave it better for the future!"
It seems the grandfather of Liam has not told him anything.
Ok, its the first dvd release of the band, and Im happy to have it finally in my hands, but:
1. 25% of the gig is missing
2. I cant watch more than 10 mins, my eyes are tired after 30 seconds.
3. I have the feeling Im watching the longest trailer in the history. You cant edit a live gig in this way. Do I have to concentrate on the band, on their performance, on the fans. Having each of the thing for half a second on the screen Im missing the whole point.
4. The hidden thingz part is the biggest joke I think. Better leave that shit, better forget that its possible to add some hiddent hingz as to add videos, we have already seen and we can watch anytime in youtube.. the could have just put the youtube links in a pdf file as a hidden bonus file....

fazit.. crap

I got the Bluray today, and even though i have seen most of the extras on youtube i loved watching them on my 50" tv in HD. The whole gig could be on youtube but i would still buy the dvd, who wants to watch this stuff on youtube on a shitty computer moniter.

funny

Quote:
Everything is recorded to an Alesis HD24 hard-disk multitracker, to be mixed in Logic in the two or three days of down time that Burton and the band enjoy between weekend festival slots. “I’ll spend a lot of time cleaning up the track and getting rid of spill. I’ll go through and clean up all the vocals, not changing anything, but I’ll hand-draw automation to take all the background noise out and get them as clean as possible. Same with some of the snare hits and stuff like that.”

The main purpose behind these recordings is not for a live album or a concert movie, but to provide soundtracks for a series of YouTube videos (www.youtube.com/user/prodigychannel), in which film-maker Paul Dugdale has been documenting the tour for the band’s fans.

i watched wof @ cinema and was a strong vibe more than watching it in my room (of course :P )...i believe its simply good - great quality - many different shots from everywhere - its prodigy!i like the whole dvd concept but i would prefer all tracklist included !
well there r also many recorded gigs like phoenix 96 or lowlands 05 with a normal tv caption but i think wof was a bit better..
what r u guys expected for?

i watched it yesterday and my opinion is:

1. very hectic camera style, my girlfriend went out after 10 minutes, because it made her nervous
2. sound is great, well done
3. the crowd you can see to often, i dont care about them
4. like the first point, the camera changes are to fast, you cant concentrate in one szene...
5. bonus material is bullshit, because this are nothing new, just the internet clips in higher quality...
6. missing of the the songs mindfields and so on
7. after each song i have a break from rounadabout a second...

from 10 points it will get 5 points, but just because of the sound...the rest is dissapointing :-/

Got the dvd, bluray & cd today, only because i collect The Prodigy stuff. It's "a bit" weird the first track after the intro is Breathe, that kinda sucks bigtime. Breathe is good, but it's not a starter at all, it's simply not fast enough. I really miss WOF, that's a starter, and we don't have this one in any proper live version! What's most annoying by the cd version is, that there already is live versions of Breathe, Omen, Firestarter, Voodoo People, Smack My Bitch Up, Their Law & Out Of Space on other releases. Their law has it's 4th release as a live track, why?! Firestarter doesn't even has the cool RATM-breaks, I really hoped that they'll use that version.
Omen Reprise/Invaders and Invaders/Smack isn't cut the right place.
All in all, this is just a release I'll put on my shelf, and forget about.
Extras are ok, but would be better if they kept the whole thing like the brazil-video. Don't like when in a song, suddently gets interupted by a little clip. They should keep concert footage and the funny clips separate. Electronic Punks was way better.

... But the sound quality is great by the way
