when liam said you can't capture the feel of a live gig on a recording he meant the audio, not the video.thankfully this relasse is top notch in that department.
secondly i can't really enjoy the freaking concert if chunks of it is missing, and they even cut the pauses between songs.this takes away from the mood.the second half of the dvd feels cut and paste because they cut out a lot of tracks, and even if you don't know the setlist by hart, they way that tracks flow into each other don't feel right
third stop talking about sample clearence.world's on fire is already released, poison is already released and the remixed park is based on the track, doesn't contain other material, mindfields already released, charly remixed but there aren't any samples in there either.the same for no good.

in the end a live dvd is released especially for the fans.the ones that do know the setlist and the most of their catalogue.they are the only ones who will buy this.they are the majority of the buyers of this dvd.so exuce me if i don't like parts of this dvd and i moan about it.moan moan moan.ate least my moaning is with arguments and don't complain about other peoples opinions.

like everyone said,i personally don't like the cuts, thisis the biggest issue.the editing overall was cool.sound is excellent.
the bonus material is for the most part shit.breathe at slane is cheep looking, except for leeroy.that was nice but the poor guy had to pay to see the guys play  .the rest of them sucked because we've seen them before.warning was cool because they fixed the audio so it's better then the noise on youtube.the brazil clip was also nice.

in the end i wonder if anyone can rip the photos form the gallery and the world's on fire bit that is playing in the menu.
and who wants the south central remix of imd can get it here http://www.nme.com/blog/index.php?blog=122&title=south_central_mixtape_exclusive_mp3_down&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1

oh and did anyone catch that at 45:08-09 during smack my bitch up?

dudes on the main menu you go right of the credit on those faders and you have a you have a short clip with the guys on a hallway goofing around with mescaline playing in the background.sorry if this was spotted already.

and the usa film an arena tour clip are cut.shorter then the ones we got.and in the arena tour there are parts from ''diesel power at rar'' clip from youtube.the bit where maxim plays the guitar and the one where he gets in the black sabbath bus

On my blu-ray its at 45:11. LOL. Good spotting man... Wouldn't expect any less from you Pinhead. How about the dude that almost cops a punch in the nuts at 1:06:16? Just missed him! Haha.

I gotta say though. I agree with you for the most part. I mean I've accepted that the DVD is what it is. I watch it and I love it. But I know forever that while I'm watching it I'll always think "hmm that's where Diesel Power was" or "wish Charly wasn't taken out!" etc...

Overall it is wicked. Can't wait to watch it on the weekend with some friends up loud.

My main problem is... As I've mentioned before is why the hell did they insist on calling it WOF if that track wasn't going to be on it? If they changed the name then I wouldn't be so annoyed by it. We've all known for a while it wasn't going to be on it. But even the "casual" (using the term loosely) fans have expected it to be on there.. And why wouldn't they expect it on there? Its the name of the DVD and it was the starter! Reading through comments on fb I've seen the question raised quite a few times about where that track is. It's just something they could've avoided if they called it something else.

Besides that... I love it. Of course I'd rather have the whole gig. But I'm happy with what I got. Accept it. Or don't buy it.

To see that Mescaline vid Pinhead just mentioned you've gotta push DOWN while you've highlighted "credits" if you're using a DVD player.

It's not impossible that the missing tracks will see the light of the day at some point in time in slightly different versions (similar to existing Dugdale's vids) on the net (YT, vimeo etc). Then it would be possible to play with it and recreate complete show with full tracklist.

sorry for being too optimisic :P

p.s. I am happy with what we have right now , it really sums up the whole IMD era and what it meant for the band , how strong they are now as a band and how their live performance can be captured on camera the way it should be.

I share your optimism on this subject - hoping that Dugdale will be using those tracks that are currently AWOL to create new virals.

Hoping.

Didnt knew that to recreate the atmosphere of a gig you have to change the camera every 0.25 seconds.

If Liam gives a sh*t for us, if he cares more than 1% about us, he could have added all the songs as a hidden material. he could have added some old tracks we are waiting centuries for. He could have made sth just to show, that he cares.
anywy i hope that liam finally will start with the new album, or if he has no plans to do sth new, just to tell us. 2,5 years without a single new track in the setlist.. 2,5 years without even a single new beat. sry but thats a shame. even bands like scorpions and metallica, which have songs for more than 5 strong setlists have not ever allowed themselfs that. I cant just understand, how the hell they are still not tired at this age to do the same thing 2,5 years already. And all these blogs etc.. repeating how wonderful the last gig was. what was wonderful? every gig must be almost the same. they have 15+ gigs in germany in the last 3 years, what can be different when you do the same setlist. Im reacting in the same way when I hear SMBU, most of you too.

Unfortunatelly I have the feeling we are 3 years in a circle, in a small circle.. seeing the same, hearing the same, watching the same. With an 11-songs album they are touring 3 years :D If the album had 17 songs, maybe they would have toured 5 years :D

I love the music of the band, but Im already tired to be dissapointed every 2 months. I am a collector too. In the last 5-6 years I was following like an idiot everything on the web, Ive spent thousends.. In the last 3 months Im not even checking ebay. Im tired and dissapointed and maybe more mature than before :)!

Yes! It's not only me who has that opinion! :D
Have posted the same thing a couple of times in the past, but you have to end it with:
IT AIN'T EASY TO BE A PRODIGY FAN... Becuse it ain't.... There's no group in the world, you need to have the same patience with.

I dunno, Massive Attack come pretty close on testing my patience. Both Prodigy and Massive Attack have only had 5 studio albums, and Massive Attack's debut came out before Prodigy's debut, so it's not just Prodigy. Massive Attack won't even release anything live, at least Prodigy have now even if it's not totally as we wanted it, it's still great...

Alice In Chains test my patience too. 1995-2009 gap between studio albums. Ok so the drugs are the reason there, which caused death in the band, so I can let them off, but the feeling of so much potential wasted that I get with Prodigy and Massive Attack is still there...

Think about this.
This will be probably the one and only DVD they will ever release. The mighty
Prodigy.

Milton Keynes, biggest gig, mini festival they did. It's a party of 20 years they been active and end of a great era, what bring them back togerther as a band to say fuck all to all invaders.

What image do they want to leave from themselves if people watch this in next 50 years for example.

good keywords would be : Rave, Disorder, Madness..

sums it up maybe?

Thumbs up to Duggers, Prodigy, and co
Amazing footage

This is about capturing the energy and the mayhem of being inside a Prodigy show and they did exactly that. I'm not too fussed about it being choppy. The only downside is the missing songs because I wanted to have that new fill after Poison and be able to have a proper listen of the new Diesel Power, No Good and Charly mixes. Glad I got Colours, Thunder Dub, and EITP. I'm happy to have a bunch of the extra vids from online on the disc as well. Some funny moments. Sure, there's tons of stuff they could have chucked on it. But all I know is that I always wanted a Prodigy show on Blu-ray in HD and they did exactly that.

So overall, I enjoyed it.

Jesus, what the fuck do you people want? Stop moaning for the sake of moaning and just enjoy it for what it is - something that you can show to your kids in 10 or 20 years time and say 'see that, that's how a proper band does it'.

Amen.

finally bought it yesterday from a local recordstore. the prodigy's shop cancelled my order (still don't get why)...

i like it. nothing superextraordinary, but it's cool. i kind of accepted the fact there's tracks missing, but still, listening to thunder, everybody and their law (the best off the dvd imo) on my system with the bass turned to the max it makes me want to hear poison even more. ...and diesel power. they're like THE live tracks. the mescaline bit is cool and title menu music. it annoys me that the bit from invaders must die on the invaders alive menu is so loud. nevertheless, it's cool. brings back memories of raving in the cinema

was surprised to see leeroy! and what was up with that, did he really have to pay for the ticket?
