i was replying to a post that said wearing one of these hats would show rave culture is still alive, and was pointing out thats a bit silly like wearing flairs coz you like abba i like the velvit underground but i dont do heroin

But it's a hat...or flares.
A bit more socially acceptable than having a dummy in your mouth or taking heroin in public.

Personally I don't think you can compare the two...but I know where you were coming from, just chose poor examples imo.

It is ok to wear a Prodigy T-shirt to show that you like Prodigy. It is OK to wear Stussy clothes to let people see you are a raver. What's the problem with the hat then, eh?
It's just the same as the above, Rock fans dress up in leather, boots and pins, old skool ravers dress in Fila trainers, and put on a hat like this if it looks good on them. Speaking about Vick's Vapo Rub, that stuff belongs to 1 particular band, whose fans may bought some masks to pay tribute to Chris' and Mark's style, pouring VVR all around wasn't very fashionable even back in '92. This hat should be our 'leather jacket' if you know what I mean.
