I'm actually looking for a new TV now ;-)
I'm quite sure I'll take a Samsung because the picture quality looks outstanding. I'm just need to figure out which one I want. Apparantly I could take a 46 inch screen but I think I'll go with a 42 inch or even less. I've seen several friends buying too large TVs ending up with a picture quality that makes me shiver just because they don't have a large enough distance from the couch to the tv.

Seriously? I'm about 3m from my 46" samsung and I'm finding it way too small. Could easily cope with a 60" or higher.

Are you completely near-sighted? I sit about 4 metres from my 42" Samsung and find it quite adequate. Sitting that close to a 60" screen will give you eye cancer.

My distance to the TV would also be about 4 meters. So 42inch would be a good size I think.

I sit about four and a half metres away from my television.

just got my new tv 6 weeks ago...my plasma just died, smell of burning as well.

this is what i got... http://www.samsung.com/ie/consumer/tv-a ... returnurl=

40" led 1080p full hd 3D smart tv

its class, u can go on the internet if u have wifi or connect via lan

it also upscales normal tv to 3d...only downside is they only give u 1 set of 3d glasses....yeah we're all loners :(

but in the longrun...picture quality watching bluray..beyond excellent...normal tv ok unless u have hd

worth it in my opinion

It was, in fact, only 4m 17cm away from where I sit.

Suppose I should've measured the screen also....hang on.......

Ur right Evans.

But.. afterall, heres 89 pages, who would ever turn all those bages to find actual important information about this release ..or other case, there are hardcore users who just don't have to, because they already know all about it and they chat about monitor lenghts :P

cmon guys, the fuck. i have always thought, besides this regular discussion about any thread in different angles, we could have somekind of Actual board, what could actualy contain important FACTS.

This is what makes BK forums so special. We all bullshit and converse with each other. If we were all prim and proper and go by the rules, this place would be as dead as the Neko forums. No action on that board unfortunately. Sure we speculate and go on and on. But thats what keeps this place constantly moving instead of becoming stagnant and obsolete. Yeah, its 80 odd pages of bs. I guess we need two forums for new album news. One for official news that leaks out or is discovered... and another for us to go on and on about what we think the albums gonna be like. I enjoy reading thru people's back and forths and bantering. Long live BK froums.

I agree with you neorev!

I like this forum and the ppl. it's not actualy broken,

what i had in mind was that there are just so many interesting
information, facts what could be easily missed (even for future reference) by some newcomer or someone who has been away for a while.

About this thread. it's great to have alive discussion.
but for example, news like
Duggers wins competition - page 4,
DVD & Blu-ray Disc to be designed, authored & encoded at Metropolis -
page 5,
dead0fnight's message to south central, that "remix" is gonna be on the prodigy Milton Keynes DVD, page 13
interview with dugdale about recording at MK, page 14
New about Cinema release, page 19
First look at the poster, page 21
First trailer, page 25

if information like these could be somehow amplified by mods, tagged and inserted to first page or on some generated "main news" page or smth. i believe this would add some value to this forum, or not, who knows.

maybe this would cause ppl stop reading the actual thread, maybe not.

i prolly get torched cause of this post, but don't get too excited. it's just a thought.
