"FUCK the dubshit! The ELECTRONIC PUNKS are back!!!"

That's it,maybe they did one step back,'cause for their traditional sound, but i think they express better theyself in this way.
IMD had some good melodies and was forward as sound, but in some parts was a bit chhesy.
i have to hear it better, but i actually like the track.
By the way,as a lot of you already said,it reminds me heatwave sound,as also mescaline sound.Fat beats, darks melodies, powerful bassline.
I think this is the better prodigy expression.

I agree with gava that the vid with Maxim saying "Bring the noise" is a different song. Sounds great too. That sound check AWOL vid is immense. Love the breakdown and way it comes back. It's the kind of track I could only imagine from Prodigy and no one else!...

Some parts remind of Back 2 Skool, some remind of Run With The Wolves, sort of a mix between them two :)...I guess it sounds wicked in the studio recording....

Reminds me a little of those tracks as well, and I'd also add Warning too. Great stuff!...

Agree with gava.

The first track has the eastern melody and "Bring the noise, I'm the one" lyrics. The tempo and the beats are different, because AWOL has a punky 1/3 beat. From the shitty recording I say the beat is somewhat similiar to Voodoo Beats, a massive big beat sort of thing. It's also a little slower than AWOL.

Maybe it's a new fill or something, OR maybe people stopped recording AWOL too early and that shitty recording is AWOL's Part II, like a second drop with different tempo. That'd be cool.

I don't like AWOl that much from what I've heard. It's alright but sounds a bit unfinished and short. I'm not a fan of the punky stuff. Anyway, I think it's the pre-IMD track because didn't Liam say that AWOL featured a female singer or something? I can hear a female singer in there after Keef's bit.

The first recording, as shitty as it was, to me promised a better sounding track than AWOL. Confused here

The female singer thing was about the track "The day is my enemy".

Quote:
There’s some good tunes there though you know, it’s like – I did this wicked tune. It was going to be a collaboration with another vocalist, and I got Martina [Topley-Bird] in who used to be with Tricky to do this kind of Ella Fitzgerald vocal that I sampled. She was fucking amazing. She just sung these couple of lines but that wasn’t the collaboration, it was another vocalist that was with her on that tune but it works with just her vocal.

What’s it called?

Liam: The working title is ‘The Day’s My Enemy’.

-awol-
Is in early phase,
but we can hear more flint voice.
I can imagine the prodigy new album
with more lyrics and less samples.
it could happen 2002...
but liam do songs in different way,
he begins with snippets of other songs...
and thats why not 2002.

did anyone hear new KORN album???
whole album is dubstep.
CD sounds amazing, but in live performance,
Korn vocalist is unable to pull those scales.

Prodigy now turns to band that can be 100% play live,
Korn turns to more electronic way....

Something else that the rehearsal video confirms is that Keith has already recorded studio vocals for the track, so I guess it does exist in studio form somewhere...
