Speculation schmeculation.
Lets just wait until we get some more facts to get a decent idea of what to think of all these tracks.

Liam: There is lots and lots of stuff left over from the record. Some people have heard it. The obvious one is ‘Mescaline’ and, what else, ‘AWOL’ which people haven’t heard. It is probably an album worth of stuff that hasn’t made it on the album, which some of it needs to be finished.
People probably still want to hear ‘Dead Ken’. None of these tracks are going be saved for a new record. They need to come out before we start on the new album because you have to start fresh, you know. Whatever the singles three and four are, that is going to be a good opportunity to stick on some of those tracks.
http://www.nekozine.co.uk/2009/03/22/th ... interview/March 2009... Who says its going on the new record? I remember that interview and thats why I think it's just a temporary live track that will get ditched soon, along with Dogbite. They said they would reveal some of the new album tracks at download festival which will probably the 'true' new songs.
Nah, i think he really is trying to make Awol work. It makes sense since he tried a second version then returned to the first one.

I love how quote Liam on something and think he's consistent. People change their minds, and the prodge do that often it's human, not everything is written in stone.
Having said that..i love the new tunes

From what i've heard till now, the first version of Awol seems to be proper for the live shows..seems to be a strong opening tune.
About Awol v2 and Dogbite..i'm not sure if these 2 tracks are a + for the shows..sounds like "energy drainers"..
but still..we'll have to wait.

Prefer the new version of AWOL, actually starting to like, might sound good and even catchy in a studio recording. It seems to evolve.

These days its hard to do some fresh staff...
most beats, most melodies(for prodigy to use)
were played in 60's 70's 80's.
Reused 10k times in numerous songs.
Now 2k10's only can provide enough monotony for
Liam to make "slimy electronic punk music"....

Yeah, they played both of these in Helsinki.
First time for me witnessing some unreleased material.
Really enjoyed them both, Dogbite's beat was bouncy and kicked really fucking hard. Loved it!
AWOL was the original version, seems like they've stuck with that and the v2 was more like an experiment.
