I'm not underrating him. I don't care about that, i'm just saying, this is how geeks and comic books fans think of him. Whatever he does, it will always be gold for them.
Personally i don't understand all the hype about him, must be an american culture thing. Loved buffy, dissapointed in dollhouse, didn't like that show firefly. As for the comics he's written, i don't know anything about them

Nope. Not true. I think you'll be hard pressed to find a fan of say.. Firefly and Serenity that thinks that Alien Resurrection (wich he wrote) was any good. When he does good stuff he gets the credit.. when his stuff stinks.. it stinks...

Ha, so probably they are blind/in love with his work, like we are with Liam.

I didnt like buffy, didnt watch firefly or dollhouse, but i saw Serenity, and movie was great. Cant say much about him, but i know Avengers is most likely one of the biggest surprises of this year, and one of the greatest comic-book based movies ever made, so i buy it, and i wish to see that in Imax. 2,5 hours of mind blowing visual effects, a lot of action, and a good sense of humour in one big movie. BK gives 8/10, so probably he did enjoy this one:)

i watched this last night. fell asleep twice. this movie is so bad. the dialogue is awful, the pacing is awfull, the plot is awfull. i can't believe this was made by Steven Soderbergh. I was watching it and thought it reminded my of ocean's 11. like bad ripoff, by someone who doesn't have the skills, or did only direct to dvd,tv movies all his life. and then the credits came and i saw Steven Soderbergh and i lold.hard

I loved the highly realistic fight scenes where you could really see what was happening. No MTV style jump cuts. Also digged the deliberately slower "old school" pacing. It's not perfect but I found it very enjoyable and the cast is great. It's an action thriller made with the actioners of yesteryear in mind so it might not please everyone despite of the rave reviews.

Safe - 7.5-8/10 Rated as an Action movie. It was an awesome action movie Statham is the man as always.

Hanna - 8.5/10 Chemical Brothers did the soundtrack so obviously the music was awesome. It was a really bad ass movie I just wish it was rated R so they could've pushed the envelope a bit more.

A dark coming of age comedy/drama

Loved it, especially if you like dry comedy and awkward situations[/img]
