Oh man that looks like shit. What's with the strange head?. Now where the hell is the cam version? :)

SPOILER WARNING!

It's to do with it's origin and also the fact that it's just been born. It's a baby, not a full-grown.

It's from a cam rip, yes.. but i only found the gif at the avpgalaxy forum.

The film itself is probably already on Piratebay... but i'm gonna see it in theaters so i'll be patient.

nope it seems someone filmed the ending sequence.
Spitfire, still it's a shitty design with that back of the head having that triungular shape.

I keep reading complaints about this final scene, and the point of it, but it makes sense to have it in the movie. Thery still need to explain to the new audiences what it was that bursted from those jockyes they find staked. Fanboys think that scene was meant to please them, but i think it was more for the people who don't know anything about alien

SPOILER WARNING!

It's to do with it's origin. It's not born out of a human. It comes out from a chest of an engineer (space jockey) so obviously it has to look somewhat different with the engineers being a more evolved species. But it also just a baby so who knows how it would look all grown-up. I was thinking that it could very well be a queen alien. The more angular shapes could be a hint at that.

'Prometheus' Lands with $35 Million Overseas Box Office – Beats 'Snow White' in the UK by 319%
4 June 2012

Watch out, Snow White. "Prometheus" is coming after you. The Ridley Scott sci-fi epic from Fox banked $35 million in its debut at the overseas box office.

"Prometheus" came up No. 1 in 14 of the 15 markets its bowed in and is cashing in on 3D premium ticket prices.

Of the 4,695 foreign screens it played on, 3,300 were 3D. Next week, when "Prometheus" debuts in the U.S., Fox also plans to expand to 35 additional overseas markets. That will be another 3,300 screens, of which 2,200 will be 3D.

Russia brought in the biggest gross for "Prometheus," with $11.1 million from 1,670 screens.

The film's performance in the U.K. was equally impressive, however.

"Prometheus" turned in the biggest three-day bow for a Scott film ever (ahead of 2001's "Hannibal") with $10 million from 1,019 screens. It finished No. 1 there, ahead of "Snow White and the Huntsman."

Spitfire, what did you think of that particular moment in the movie?

SPOILER WARNING!

Was quite a surprise that one. At least on first viewing and without any prior knowledge of it the scene came off more as a nod to the fans of the original Alien than anything else. In retrospect I guess it was also there to wet the appetite for the sequel. Of course if you know it's there it's not going to surprise.

Watched it together with Agent Orange in IMAX 3D.

It looked amazing.

I was so speechless as someone said here it's so different from what you would expect , yet the similarities with Alien are hard to ignore.

It is indeed it's own beast.

The next day I basically bought myself another ticket and the second viewing was even better.

This movie has so many details in the characters , it's pure Ridley Scott.

I'm still flabbergasted and I'm thinking the whole time of Prometheus , Prometheus , Prometheus.

I can't wait to buy another ticket this weekend.

You can make up so many side stories with these characters in your head,
it really is a movie that leaves you with the question to fill in the answers yourself, and that's what a movie should be all about in my eyes.

Welcome home to science fiction , Ridley Scott.
I can't wait to see what he's gonna pull off next.

I can speak for hours about this movie and I'm annoying anyone who gets in a conversation with me to watch this great film.

Bahhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!

This movie is driving me nuts and I'll be happy to share my theories on the story (BECAUSE IT GOES SO MUCH DEEPER THEN THE EYE CAN SEE) when our mutual friends in the U.S had their share of science fiction.

Gonna go for a third one tonight !

Luke Buckmaster (Crikey):

"Prometheus is atmospherically dazzling in a way that makes your eyeballs want to have a cigarette, zip up their pants and go out for breakfast afterwards."

Well said.

????

Did anyone found any plotholes? Cause if someone complains about plotholes i think he slept during the movie. One thing that this movie does have is a horrible editing and a soundtrack that just doesn't go along with a lot of the movie. I'm kinda dissapointed to see so many scenes from the trailers cut, and so many obvious cut scenes. Other than that bring on the sequel, cause i like this new direction.

Oh and the marketing department for this film needs to be shot. If you seen the trailers, the featurettes and a couple of tv spots you virtually saw the whole movie, beginning to end, minus 2 monster scenes. Seriouisly, wtf Fox?
