you ppl need to relax, a 20+ year band isn't going to get on stage and experiment, freestyle MC and come up with sinister lyrics that outshine all others. This has been the same band for the past two decades

unplug yourselves, shut your brain off, and just enjoy the sounds.

This tour seems totally useless tbh. Liam would better sit at home or hire
a house somewhere in the middle of nowhere and fucking experiment
again.

quote of the year! absolutely agree, 100%.

Just got back from Download this morning... I took loads of photos and videos of the Prodigy set. I tried to video everything that was new or I didnt recognize (despite my low post count, Ive been reading these boards for years and have a massive collection and knoweldge of the band!)

I got full videos of Dogbite etc.. just converting them now to AVI's as they were all taken with my camera as quicktime shit.

Even stood there right in the middle near the front-ish, and as excited as I was, I couldnt make out almost any lyrics on the new tracks and so they all dissapointed somewhat. They just sounded like a load of bass and noise with screaming on top now and then... Im sure though they will be good on the album once we all hear them clear.

From memory this morning, Spitlick was great - A faster version of Spitfire.... Im sure I got a video of that.

** I agree with some of the comments that the sound was lower than I would have liked

** Despite me knowing the various samples, lyrics & effects, other poeple who dont know the tracks note for note wouldnt have heard them at all as it was all a bit muffled. There were tons of stuff you just couldnt hear properly. This also had a lot to do with the wind making the long lines of suspended speakers blow and swing left to right while twisting slightly... It was like pointing a speaker at yourself and turning it away then back again.

** I dont mind the set list at all but the bands quotes and lyrics are getting very predictable - Maxim did his usual lines which many of you will recognize:

"You see this shit here.. they dont come harder than this!"
"Thankyou... and thats from the heart"
"(during SMBU) Everybody get the fuck down"
"All my warriors at the front..."
"This shit belongs to the pople.."
and much more...

Keith did all his usual additional lyrics during Firestarter and others... I even was able to quote these to my partner almost word for word and when Maxim would say them and he did. Her response was "how did you know he was going to say that..??!!!" All this seems to make it like watching a film over and over again rather than a live gig where they go with the flow... Anyone know what I mean here..?

Anyway, I will get them up to Youtube asap... no idea at all what the sound quality is like but from previous gigs, they are utter crap on laptops, but can be very very good through surround system with bass.

P.S. It was particularyly hard to keep my camera still on full zoom, I tried my best folks!

Awesome job, can't wait to see your vids. Respect for recording stuff for us folks that can't see them live at the moment. Did you happen to get Jetfighter earlier in the set as well?

reading through all of this crap i get the feeling that some of you "fans" became simply boring, predictable, stale, fake sounding.
if you don't like the prodigy attitude anymore, just leave it be. turn around, listen to something else. whats the point in coming back here posting the same moaning bullshit no matter what the topic is? is it less predictable than a prodigy setlist? hell no.
if you think "dogbite" is dubstep and moan about it- move on. if you think that band is no cool anymore - move on already. if you moan about the setlist - go somewhere else. if i don't wanna watch a tv show anymore i simply don't tune in. what's the big deal? instead we get the same crock crap over and over again. we got it already. liam is a cunt. the prodigy are fake now. the setlist is boring.
please tell us again and again - cause thats not fake, boring, predictable and pathetic at all.

Sorry guys but i am bored with people moaning about the setlist. We should consider about the new fans and people who see them for the first time. Believe me or not, gigs ain't for us the hardcore fans ONLY. When you see a crowd about 50.000 people, you should know that there are at least 30000 people watching prodigy live for the first time.
I am asking you... If you find yourself in a big band's gig for the first time (e.g red hot chili pepper's gig) are you sure you prefer hearing b-sides and no knowing tracks than the big hits of them?? ). Imo I am ok with the current setlist except one or two tracks but it's ok. We should be happy for the oppurtinity that is giving to us being able to watch our favourite band even if they are almost at 50 years old
Btw watching the "wof" video from last night, makes me to can't wait watch them again in about 20 days from now, here in Athens, @rockwave festival. They still got it!!!

I am going to see red hot live for the first time this year and I have to tell you I have been looking at what they play in this tour. I am expecting to hear their hits (which they do play), there will be songs from the new album (they shuffle those as well) and they play each gig old songs (those vary as well) - all in all some 19 songs, which makes the gig clock at nearly 2 hours. I am not expecting prodigy to have a 2 hour set (that shit would be exhausting) but I would like to hear old tunes from them.

Hey matey
I got Jetfire yeah... Glad to share it with people... All uploading to Youtube as I type... Some finished. Here is what I got so far....

Bear in mind Im at full zoom trying to keep still in 4" of mud and 1000's of people with a camera, not a camcorder... best I can do folks!!

I watched them by the way on my surround just so I have some bass.. they were MILES better than PC speakers, if you can do it, try it.

hey it's not that bad
you can at least hear the tracks
and i'm sure the weather and wind probably didn't help much

but at least it's not a wall of white noise like some videos that i see put up
you can definitely hear the tunes in yours

and nice that you got a shot of the screens to see what's happening onstage

can't wait to hear Jetfighter!

good work!
patiently awaiting for more vids

Gave it a go through the telly, lot better than the laptop.

Got a kind of slower dubsteppy feel, Jetfighter noise, and a Medusa's Path horn type through it.
