While Spitfast is refreshingly new, I can't help but get the feeling most of their new songs are a little samey.

Does anyone else agree or is it just me?

yeah, they dont have that wow factor from warriors dances first live play, but then again, warriors dance didnt turn out as great in studio form, and definitely isnt a top 5 live track these days.

im pretty sure liam wants an album of tracks like 'omen' and 'tmtth' with little room to breathe (pardon the pun)

I suppose I'm still holding onto the MFTJG and FOTL days where almost every track has a different tone, style and spirit.

I'm particularly noticing that most of the beats on these latest tracks, including some IMD ones, have the same high-mid frequency tone to them.

Anyway, this is a rant for another thread methinks.

+1
liam changes his mind with little care for contradicting anything hes said previously, probably AWOL is still completely different from IMD era, but we have mescaline v2 in the form of jetfighter too.

its hard to see how he could at the last minute, pull the IMD era parts out of these tracks.

but im glad for a change hes not destroying all of the previous ideas that were any good, just to make everything 'fresh'

hell, put trigger on the fucking album for all i care

you have to hear it live. "jetfighter" is nothing like "mescaline".
it's an A bomb.

I always enjoy a Dugdale video, although it can be annoying when you're getting into the tune and it's interrupted halfway through by talking. :x

Is it wrong that I'm more excited by this remix than those other new tracks?

I've been in a prodigy gig 3weeks ago, so i have heard new tracks live on my own ears, and all i can say, that those new ones are shit as hell. Jetfighter is the worst Liam song ever, Spitfast is the only one i like. Dogbite and Awol are bad, but not as bad as Jetfighter.

I need to say, Prodigy once were original and powerful, now only power left in new songs. Still waiting for new album, lets hope it will be better than Jetfighter shit.

I'm with Max here, but I disagree with Spitfast. A remix of a trackstolen from a remix isn't original or refreshing. WTFU is my fav track, and spitfast is cool because of it, but you can't put makeup on a pig and expect me to like it.

AWOL, Jetfighter and Dogbite to me are one track. You can all disagree all you want, but where is there anything original in here? Omen was great, TMTTH was fantastic, even IMD gets my pulse racing. But these tracks are like a rework of Nuclear, guitar stabs and an annoying synth that isn't melodic in the least. I'm just hoping they were used to entertain Download minds, because they lack that Prodigy vibe
