i doubt we'll get an actual single this year...
maybe a downloadable track, kinda like what they did with "Invaders Must Die" around the new year before "Omen" was the officially released as the first single

but i'm doubting it more and more
honestly, i think they're nowhere near completing an album from the way they been responding to questions
maybe mid to late 2013

They should release Awol as an isolated single... Sounds finished.

yeah, i do not want AWOL as a single
definitely not the springboard track and would not excite me at all for the album

Baby's Got A Temper is a better track than AWOL

they always keep saying that "we're in the studio trying new ideas out" blabla. they should try these out live just like in the old days. i think everyone would be very satisfied.
awol as a single would be just about the worst mistake in their career, just like putting dogbite on an album would be anothe of these mistakes. it's ok to play them for a while then just trash them the fuck out. maybe a free download for awol would be interesting to a couple of people but that's all. as for jetfighter, i dont want to say a statement since i still havent heard it in decent quality, but what i heard doesnt sound too promising.
and this spitfast is just about one of their worst tracks ive ever heard. i always hated the dnb charly that is on experience (i like the original mix much better) but this track is just even shitter than that. when "chapter 2" began and maxim started singing the lyrics it sounded just hilarious, didnt even fit at all. as an instrumental "chapter" i'd say so-so, but with lyrics its totally shit. they should just play wake the fuck up instead, at least that was a track to jump on.

True, but that's like saying Heinz beans are better than Tesco's own brand beans. Hardly prime rib is it?

Bring out the 12 oz sirloin Liam, ya massive cock teasing cunt!

I simply don't believe that Liam would so easily resign from kickass AWOL Bratislava version, and instead play the current version all the time... I think at some point he will show it again to the world, in finished form, when the right time (WD in Serbia?) comes.

The regular version of AWOL? A beast...simple as that. Great tune, would instantly sit on my all time favs.

Just like the original version of Warning or worlds on fire: first version is often the best before you mess with the flow.

But back to AWOL: it's a very, very cool track in a rhyhtm that hasn't been in prodigy songs yet (the swing) and it's very catchy. So I would like a single release please. Maybe extend the vocals to include a verse by maxim, now it's a bit too simple.

The only thing bugging me in this version is the odd high pitch noise that doesn't sound very fitting with the bassline.

But as for AWOL being not on par with BGAT... oh dear.....well the video cannot be as legendary as milking cows at a prodigy show and keith vibing on the milk...

:)

The rhythm? Awol is one of their most monotone sounding tracks ever (after Molotov Bitch and The trick  )

Yes but I didn't say it was musically varied or that it's not monotone. I agree that it needs a bit more variation. But that's not what I said.

I said: the rhythm in awol is something new because Prodigy almost never use exessive swing. At least...at the top of my head I don't recall a tune that has a swing like this.

Maybe ded ken

btw, I do think that dogbite and jetfighter aren't fully album material yet....

But from what I read here, most people don't like AWOL as well? I wonder what the live reaction is. I remember vibing on nuclear in 2002 untill I actually heard it live (and live it fell flat)

Oh I love that tune :)
I really like ska.

But I just checked the bratislava version and that one does not have the swing, nor the cool melody...hmm I think that's the boring version :\
But....they should just release both so everyone can dig their own favourite hehe

But check this version...it bounces :D
