To me it sounds like a better version of something from AONO, amazing

The Day is not completely an IMD leftover - it sounds a lot like trap genre, and this one gained its popularity in 2011-2012. It probably got edited a lot since pre-IMD. I'm just a little worried because if their next CD would be 100% trap, I wouldn't be happy at all, but 1 or 2 tracks are ok. Crystal Castles' "III" is a nice example how to be influenced by trap but stay away from "jumping the bandwagon" - when I heard Affection, at first I was like "what the hell, CC and trap?" but it occured that it was the only track that would (sort of) qualify as this genre.

I want gun reprise so badly, and all the other unreleased tracks from that era. Gives a little hope, that he still have all the binned tracks. In Vega Copenhagen 2005, he accidently put on the intro from 1997, from the usual suspects, in the middle of the set, it played in 5 seconds or so. It also happened in 2004 or 2005 while playing Firestarter, in the break part, oops. About opening tracks, Dead Ken Beats was the opener in Vega 2005, that was strange

The option's there, just in a different place. Click the filters button.

and would it have killed them to drop 3, just 3 old tracks for the fans?

Their 2009 UK tour was their best in a long time. Besides the usual set, they randomly played Death of the Prodigy Dancers, the original Thunder, Wind it Up, No Good, Jericho, and Rhythm of Life. Comanche, Warrior's Dance, and Out of Space were also permanently in the setlist during that time period. With what you're saying, all they had to do was copy Brixton during that tour when they played No Good, Jericho, and Rhythm of Life. Any one of those tracks could have been replaced by Hyperspeed and then the rest of the set could have been normal.

Maybe they just ran out of time to play more, hence why Dogbite and The Day were cut without being replaced. Why the f@ck did they need an act after Prodigy each night!? Everyone came for just the Prodigy anyway.

And every new track they have been doing is recycled in some way from the IMD era. I posted this on the official Prodigy forum a while ago, but have a listen to it if you haven't already. Some of the lyrics sound 100% familiar, yeah? "Jet fighter, jet breaker, celebrate the noise maker." This was performed in 2008.

We talked about it two or three months ago. Especially about the lyrics.

lol all they did is reusing the "celebrate the noisemaker" vocal, apart from that jetfigher has nothing in common with mescaline.

btw, funny how different The Day sounds in that new recording.
In the other 20 sec recording the beat sounded like a fast ravey beat, the new and clear recording shows thats its more like dubstep though :p

It may be hard to hear, but Keith also said "jet fighter, jet breaker" before "celebrate the noise maker" making the lyrics 100% similar to the track Jetfigther. Listen to it again with that in mind. I was only referring to the lyrics being similar so yeah I know nothing else is similar.

I was at Brixton on the 19th. This may possibly be the last time I see them live. Prodigy gigs have always been a buzz for me, total excitement. I was, dare I say it, bored by the band and the music, at Brixton, at midnight, at the end of the world (lol). They need to change the set up big time and write some new fucking tunes or else they are done. Boring, really fucking boring.

not great sound...

but Eagle Break into World's On Fire...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IVuqvOsOJs

at least we can kinda hear the new fill...
also the last bit of it sounds like the army rolling drums from the old Army March intro back in the day during the whole pre-AONO shows.

I really like Eagle Break. It's weird, dark and heavy. Definitely makes goosebumps. This should be the new intro or even should be transformed into a full track with beats etc.

Gun Reprise / Their Law

Nice transition ;)
