Most of the new stuff just barely passes off as like 50% done
No real song structure... more like jams rather than a full on track
I know people will jump and say AWOL... but is still lacking a finishing touch.
Not much happens in that track
And the rest of the new stuff is made up of only like two sections that Liam switches back and forth to and then it ends

Exactly that. I've been saying this for quite some time already.
All the new songs, Jetfighter, AWOL and now The Day consist of 2 parts:
1. a few seconds of main beat and then
2. chorus

and then it gets repeated.

I'm with you on that one. None of the tracks sound even 50% finished and lack structure. It really sounds like Liam ran out of ideas.

In 2008 like you guys said we got Wof , Warriors Dance and Unstoppable at first. A few months later Unstoppable turned into Beat 55 and Mescaline. Then he dropped stab. then the album was released and Beat 55 turned into Omen. There were a lot of changes in one year since the club shows till the album release. And all the tracks since the first time they were played seemed complete and memorable

But now a whole year passed since they fist played Dogbite and Awol, and they both are just jams, like the ones Zane Lowe played of Liam's computer a while back. Nothing changed in the meantime, just a one time Awol rework. Then he started playing Jetfighter, a 2 minute track and now The Day, another 2 minute jam. There is nothing really that stands out out of this new batch. I like the direction he is going with heavy beats and more darker stuff. And that's about it.

To be honest, i felt more excited when i heard that tune from the serbian warriors dance festival from duggers(death of yugoslavia), than from this new tracks.

I'm still sticking with this thought and saying these 'new' 'old' tracks are for the live circuit for now and won't appear on HTSAJF.

Just hope I'm right.

Thats for sure as he said they wouldn't be featured on the next record 3 years ago.
However I strongly question his progress on the new record... Jetfigher for one, is a new track thats most likely going to be featured on the album and it doesn't sound any more progressed than AWOL or the other tracks.

[Pinocchio]Oh well, that must be true then cos I've always known him to be very reliable in the past [/Pinocchio]

Because of the title???

DOGBITE could become COCKPIT
AWOL - ACAZ
THE DAY - DASSAULT MY ENEMY.

i like THE DAY a lot and liams new elements n sounds and its true what a co-BK member said that its similar to eastern jam by chase n status..
but this tune is more chill actually ..i expect something bigger!
hope bigger than awol jetfighter dogbite

seems to me the new album will be something like an upgraded AONO

The Day sounds like old hardcore rave with new dubstep influences. A slight update on the old sound. Nice groove and beats, just needs to be expanded more.

The same with the other tunes so far.
They need some extra work...

The Day
Jetfighter
AWOL
Eagle Break
Dogbite

Going by what they played Eagle Break (as played) doesn't even sound like a full track, more like an intro of one.
I guess it's a WIP track that is not quite ready yet so Liam teased us with a small bit.
I definately like it most though, that melody is just so epic.

Still a bigger fan of AWOL version 2 over 1. He should have stuck with that and added a bridge to give it more length. the first version just sounds too pre-AONO to me.
