Their Law
"What we're dealing with here is a total lack of respect for the law" sample taken from the film Smokie And The Bandit OR, as other people say, spoken by Ray Liotta (of Goodfellas fame) in the film Unlawful Entry (co. starring Madeline Stowe & Kurt Russell).
I haven't seen either of those films, anyone knows?
Other vocals by Clint Mansell, the ex-frontman of Pop Will Eat Itself

I always thought the intro from Their Law is taken from the film Miller's Crossing. Bad ass film btw.

Definitely not Smokie and the Bandit. The wording is wrong and the accent is different even if effects were added to the voice.
I looked up both the scripts from Unlawful Entry and Miller's Crossing here:
http://www.script-o-rama.com/movie_scri ... -coen.html
http://www.script-o-rama.com/movie_scri ... iotta.html
Neither have that spoken line.
So until the book comes out, what we're really dealing with here is a total lack of information.

Re: What we're dealing with sample
Dan Charnas recorded it on a trip over to XL's London office so it's his voice not a film sample.
That was a looong mystery, finally solved

Didn't Liam said it was him on "What we're dealing with here is a total lack of respect for the law" ?
I clearly remember that from some interview somewhere, maybe from a Neko one.

No.
Some info came from MJ but that was something else iirc.
I got the info from @dancharnas himself on twitter.
