I think that Dogbite, AWOL and The Day will have the same fate as Heatwave Hurricane and Nuclear... May be we won't here The Day never again but in 2013 Dogbite and AWOL will still be in the setlist and then they will disappear too. But the bad thing IMO is that Dogbite and AWOL are way better then Jetfighter cus for me there is nothing more to do with this Jetfighter thing. If Liam add smth to it it will get worse if he take smth away from it still worse, but that's just my opinion. And for the band future all i had to say was said by WarriorsDance + 1 btw
PS: Sorry for my broken English

I'm glad the guys are still around and are still able to impress with everything they release, at least that's my opinion. I will always have a deep respect for them, especially for Liam. What he did over the last 20 years is undescribable. I'm not going to let these annoying promises they make destroy all my prodigy memories. Everything comes to an end. And I'm not saying it's the end, but I think he's just not into writing many music at the moment, and you can't blame him.. He's been doing the same thing for over 20 years. It's sad, but I'm sure that once they'll put something out, it'll be smashing. At the moment, I still have faith in the prodigy ! They're just human beings as well.. They're not robots.
Here's the thing. They could stop promising they will release the album this year. cause so far this has happened every year. they could stop telling us they have tracks written, and they are dark and fast, when 3 years pass and we still didn't hear them. they could stop telling us it won't be another 5 years till the next album like it happened to the last one. This was they are just a big tease, promises that never come to fruition.
2 years after they released imd they should have put a maxi-single out, and 3 years after imd a proper e.p. with fresh tracks. they didn't need to be played live, just have some nice fresh beats for the fans. it could have been something new in the vein of aono, or leftovers from aono and imd recording sessions. but it's been 5 years since imd with nothing. and then 5 years before till aono. and then 7 years till tfotl. together it's 17 years with 3 albums, if they manage to release jetfighter this year at least. it's just not right. how the hell do they expect people to take them serious anymore. they are a great live band, but no one seems to pay attention to the stuff they are doing in the present anymore. they are the band with all the cool past singles. and it's all their fault. ffs we are hardcore fans here, we follow them from gig to gig, sometimes travel to other countries for them. if we have lost faith in them, what do they expect everyone else will do? they are just happy that teens come to their show and jump on those shitty dubstep reworks they have. they are something exotic now in the dance scene, idols, but you don't get excited anymore with their present stuff

Compare it with their activity from 1991-1995. Their 2 best albums (in my opinion) & their 10 best singles (again my opinion) + 11 remixes for other artists. Good times. The days where Liam was creative and did some proper work.

I agree with you Trawizz.Bro,i understand they are on the scene for 20+ years and they are human ect ect.But if they cant deliver they shouldnt promise.
That goes for the band.I cant accuse them for the quality of their 2 last albums and the 3rd coming. This they can, this they do,although i can be unhappy about it.But i can be angry and disappointed for their promises.
This goes for many members of the forum:
Bros just because some of us believe the material of the last 8+ years is not as good as the one of the 3 first albums and because we don't like the promises issue ect. doesn't mean we are not hardcore fans.Doesn't mean we don't understand the fact they are on the scene for 20+ years.
An example, with no offense for anyone.
If i have a dog that is 15+ years old and cant run and keep the house safe and i point it out it is not the dog to blame or me because i say it.
It is natural, time passes. So don't be blaze to us or claim YOU are more faithful to the band.LOL some members here give me the impression that if Liam writes a dubstep song with the Blue Oyster Club melody they will still love it and praise the band.

When do they ever 'promise' anything? They just say random shit in interviews, they probably don't remember saying it. All their brains are fucking fried from the 90's, Liam sounds like he's had an aneurism.

i always thought about e.p.s, i mean why are musicians so unwiling to do that. and it doesnt take much. three trax plus three remixes and there you have it. you put some cash in, the crowd is pleased AND it doesnt take a fukin three year world tour to market the thing.
beastie boys are known to have always filled in gaps between albums with e.p.s and they also had 5-6 year gaps between albums

Massive Attack are on the same level with Prodigy as far as releases go. God forbid they should put a track out, or EP

It's also easy to forget, when they're being interviewed, they are talking to the mainstream media and the "normal guy" in the street.
They don't talk directly to us hardcore fans on this forum, who scavenge the whole internet for bits and pieces of information and new tracks
But I think they should look at Underworld Live and Metallica Live sites, and do something similar, and let us buy live shows and other releases there. Almost every show do get recorded somehow. By themself or a radio/tv broadcaster.
And they could easlily release 2 ep's a year digital only. No need to play everything live.

this thread is pointless.
much ado about nothing. there will be a new prodigy album (i bet everything "how to steal a jetfighter" won't be the title), its gonna be huge and we're all gonna buy it.
everything else in between is pure speculation, fantasy and nonsense.

they refuse that cuz they believe live shit should remain to the poeple that are in the audience and doesnt work in live recordings.
i wish neko was still around to make an interview, its definitly time to a proper interview. cant remember in the last 3 years a good interview. maybe those Russian prodigy website one. all the rest is lame and repetitive like their live setlist
