LIAM,

Please give us a studio version of "THUNDER DUB" like the one from Duggers video that I posted below. If there was anything that would help me (and I'm sure many of your fans) with the wait for the new album, it would be able to blast a proper studio mix of "THUNDER DUB" on my sound system. Don't get me wrong, the live mix from WORLD'S ON FIRE is great, but I'd like to bomb this track without crowd cheering. I would love to have a straight up clean studio mix. And as much as I appreciate the fan reworks and attempts at recreating this monster, it just doesn't quite fill the shoes. I feel the bass rumbling the entire room on my subs. You probably don't really read the boards that much anymore and it's probably even more of a long shot in getting you to put up this track. But pleeeeeeeease upload this... for the fans. Maybe you could share it with fans through your Soundcloud page or direct through the site like the "Invaders Must Die (Radio Edit). Keep rockin'!

Please,
Mike... a fan

Dear liam HHHHHHHHHHHhhhh...... fucking howlett,

at a bare minimum, stop saying stuff and then not doing it (like when you said you would upload the old demos)

in the era of soundcloud, producers are uploading unfinished/unmixed/unmastered tracks, whats your excuse?

Yours in contempt,

BK crew

Maybe Liam is playing it smart and saving up all of these rare unreleased tracks for when The Prodigy officially retire and can live off of releasing rare collection CDs afterwards. I know I'll pay some heavy dough to get a CD full of cut stuff like Thunder Dub, Trigger, Nuclear, No Souvenirs, Wake Up Call (Full Vocal).

A man can dream can't he?

But man, if only the band utilized their Soundcloud and steadily put up demos and unfinished stuff for fans to download. Then he wouldn't get bothered with all of this demand for new material and stuff.

And it's not like I'm asking for some super rare tune...
I'm asking for Thunder Dub, which is in the current set

We should have gotten a Thunder single with the dub mix as the lead track backed with all of the remixes. Too bad they scrapped it.

Alright dude, WE GET IT... you don't like the track
but that's not what this thread is for

seriously every time this track is brought up, you go out of your way to make sure you have to dis it. i'm not trying to be a dick here, but it's seriously like you hunt for things you don't like so you can publicly be negative about it.

this thread is for the fans who would like to hear a studio version of the track and communicate it with the band. not to be filled with negativity. i was literally counting the seconds before it would start.

the dubstep witchhunt. it think its all about who's writin the music. dont hate the genre, hate the writer. all the dubsteppy (haha) mixes liam's wrote are bangin and its not because its by the prodge its because they're good. especially 'the day'. i dont care if its too trap or whatever, i like the tune and it makes my blood pumpin. that's all there is

im sure the same hatred applied to rave music back in the day when producers jumped on it and every other track had rave elements in it

i'd like to hear the part that's playing near the end of the track properly. never heard that live

totally agree dude. of course, he's gonna take bits from the genre, but it totally with The Prodigy style. Liam has always taken genres and flipped and turned em into a whole new beast. i like the dubstep and trap bits he's used in the newer stuff.

i wouldn't even call Thunder Dub dubstep at all besides having dub in the title. doesn't really have the generic wobbles or anything like that. just pure Prodigy. i was lucky enough to hear original Thunder live and it was amazing... but i'd still love to hear Thunder Dub live and direct. but it'll probably be gone from the set by the time they come back to the US.

Neorev - Ok dude then we should make separated topics for: Stab, No Souvenirs, Trigger, Nuclear, Awol, Unstoppable, Dead Ken Beats, Heatwave Hurricane etc.

For me this is pointless, useless and shows only what waiting for the album and lies by The Prodigy does with the fans ;)

well this thread was created for a song that i personally would like to have... as well as many fans on here. it wasn't meant to be a daunting task of begging Liam for all of the gems that got lost over the years. but rather focus on one track that we have a better chance of getting over something like Trigger or No Souvenirs, which 99.9% will never see the light of day. if people wanna make a thread for a particular track they want, be my guest. but the point of this thread was for folks that would like to see Thunder Dub uploaded in studio form. You think it's pointless... fine. i just don't know why people have to come in and shit on a positive thread. the point was Thunder was planned to be a single at one time. they even put a Duggers vid up especially for the dub mix and it's still a mainstay in the set, so just maybe Liam would see this thread. and if more people were backing it, the better. rather than coming here and bashing the track because they feel like knocking what other people like. that's the kinda vibe that's definitely not gonna help. i was just trying to vocalize a thought that other people wanna see happen and the slim chance Liam may see it, since it's known he goes on the boards. this wasn't a "let's see if you hate Thunder dub thread." is it pointless? possibly. but you still don't gotta come in and shit on it. you turned a thread about wanting a track released to how they should drop it from the live set.

dropping stuff from the live set, this is the thread is for that...

THIS thread is for the people who would like THUNDER DUB released in studio form on the site or on their Soundcloud page.

yeah, i'd love to have that too!
i was there! fucking awesome dude!

i knew the previous shows before i went out to the Roseland one. so i wasn't really expecting it since the setlists usually stay the same and didn't expect anything special for NYC. but the whole time in my head, i was like "oh please i wish they would play Thunder." so far the set, just as i knew it would go. then all of a sudden during the jam break after "Run With The Wolves," i heard Maxim say something like "straight through the window pane, break down those walls, i hear thunder" and i was like "No fucking way?!?!" and the open riff started. oh man, it was so fucking sweet to experience live. never understood why they dropped it, people went apeshit during that. the whole crowd was a moving mass of jumping. one of those decisions of Liam's that you just have no clue why they chose to drop it.

hearing Thunder at Roseland and opening with Break & Enter back during the "Their Law" tour are the highlights, only got to see them two times in NYC.

I remember Liam saying that Thunder was planned as a possible single, but then scrapped the idea. Guess that's why we have a bunch of remixes of it on that IMD/Thunder Promo

01) Thunder (Live Re-Edit)
02) Thunder (Dub)
03) Thunder (Doorly Remix)
04) Thunder (Bang Gang Remix)
05) Thunder (Arveene & Misk's Storm-warming Remix)
06) Thunder (Tiga Remix) <---wasn't there an unreleased remix?

could have been an awesome EP
...backed with Dead Ken Beats j/k Liam... or am i? :P
