So, 5 years after "that" september 2008 nothing changed, at least where I live, in Italy. More and more italians loosing their jobs, and I hear from people every day that in western Europe life is much better than here. Italians want to leave for UK or Germany.

So I'm asking you people if you want to post here if you have a job and what is your average income. Also, please post some of the everyday costs like gasoline, internet and a pizza.

Italy:
Shoes factory worker in Tuscany: 1300,00 euro / month (net income)
Gasoline: 1,8 euro
Internet ADSL 7 Mb: 40 euro / month
Pizza for two and water at restaurant on weekend: 25,00 euro

Things are pretty good here in Norway. Though we're not technically a part of the EU!

I work at a storage facitilty, driving lifts and packing stuff!

Get paid about 18.500 NOK/2500 EUR/month

About 20 euros an hour. I expect it to raise this month.

Gasoline is about 1,8-2,0 euros

Internet: 30-40 euros for 5 Mb a month. Depends on where you live. You can get fiber for the same price in the citys! (I live outside on an island)

An your pizza example it's about the same, 25-26 euros!

I see the prices are about the same as yours, but we make twice as much, if not more.
:o

In Denmark it greatly relies on profession. If you are an IT engineer then there is enough jobs (and there has been so during the whole crisis).

Software developer: 3000 € / month (net)
Gasoline: 1,6 € (95 unlead)
Internet ADSL 20 Mb: 27 € / month
60 m2 apartment: 540 € / month
Pizza for two and water at restaurant on weekend: 30 €

There is some trickyness though. For example: I bought a new Mazda 2 a couple of years ago - cost me the same as a new Audi or BMW in Germany.

You don't want to know about Greece, lol :P

Average full time salary for most people is ~500-700€/month.

I don't really have a stable income so can't really tell for myself...
Can go from 500-600 up to 700-800€/month.
I work as an architect freelancer and part time in a real estate company.

Gasoline:
Unleaded 95oct 1.75€/lt
Diesel 1.35€/lt

Internet VDSL 35/3 + Telephony: 30€/month

Pizza for two and water at restaurant on weekend: 25-30€.

I work at a publisher as a dtp AND a book-binder, my net monthly income is 100.000 HUF (it includes 3 hours of overwork a week), which is about 340 EUR
Internet ADSL 10 Mb + TV 100 channels + phone: 5000 HUF (16 EUR)
Pizza (32 cm): 1500 HUF (5 EUR)
Gasoline price is an avarage 420 HUF (1.5 EUR)
Milk 1l: 200 - 400 HUF (0,7 - 1,4 EUR)
Bread 1kg: 220 - 250 HUF (0,75 - 0,85 EUR)

I'd also like to add that I quit my previous job as a book-binder last year in April because I was treated like shit. Took one whole year to find a new one! In fact I just started to work this month.
My sister who is much better educated than me (I finished professional school, she went to high school) was without a job for 1,5 years, so it pretty well sucks!

BRAINKILLER:
I am about stunned... ADSL 40 euro??? and only 7 MB? Pizza 25 EUR??? WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK???? Okay, you earn about 4 times as much as me, but even then...

I'm a warehouse pallet racking constructor/fitter, earn about £1100 per month after tax.

2 pints of milk from a supermarket is about £1.10

My 20mb broadband is £17.50 per month.

Pizzas vary. If you get one form the local takeaway pizzeria it's about £8 for a 12" meat feast. Bigger places like Domino's are about £15 for the same.

Unleaded 95 RON petrol is about £1.31-£1.35 per litre depending on where you live (supermarket prices). Diesel is aprox £1.40 per litre. Add a few pence for Shell/BP stations.

I earn AU$2600 per month after tax working as a photographic printer. That equates to about €2060.
Petrol (91 octane) costs about $1.60/€1.27 per litre, or €6.10/gal
Internet costs $80/€64 per month (actually it's $50 but has a mandatory $30 landline rental too) for 60GB at about 15Mbps.
A Domino's pizza costs about $8/€6, independent shops are approximately twice that.
A movie ticket is $18/€14.30 plus snacks.
My two bedroom apartment costs $240/€190 per week.

in Tuscany we pay about 500 € per month in small cities, and about 800 in cities like Florence or Pisa. But you earn like twice that is the problem
