I don't find any differences between their music and for example AQUA's music.

Things are feeling a bit like after BGAT and the uncertainly of what was going on with AONO. Maxim has started to DJ, because he got bored of waiting? Keith is busy with his motorbikes, and the momentum built up with IMD is gradually fading in a large anti-climax while the casual fans are fast re-forgetting the band again...

Exactly, Liam never really believed in striking while the iron is hot. I'm not trying to slate the band i love but when the next album is released, they won't be relevant anymore. Liam missed the boat by not releasing new material 2 years ago. MK was still fresh and there was a new younger fanbase. The new fans are gone and moved on. The landscape has changed immeasurably. I fuckin hate them for leaving it this late.

its becoming clear that the guys were happy with what they accomplished with fotl and they sort of stuck with the band but never really tried to repeat the success of fotl. which is ok for me but they could have just said so. not mantring about how they're back and keepin it fresh

also i just thought about something. i became a dad few months after imd was released. well my baby is not a baby anymore. shes not very big but... shell probably start school sooner than we see another album

IMD really should have been released in 2008 latest, but they delayed, and they still fucked up worlds on fire and went back and remixed omen so it was good enough for release, i just find the whole thing un-nerving that they can take so long to write an album and still have things that need fixing.

by the time this album is released it will be 10 years since AONO 17 since fat of the land... its too much

Liam drained his creative fluids in the first 10 years, 92 to 02. the aono era was still epic. he was in the zone, making beats while playing them live. no wife, no kids, no family, just the band, gigs, snowboarding and studiotime.

its similar to system. they wrote like 3+ albums worth of awesome tunes around 3-4 years. steal this album was leftovers from toxicity. they wrote all that in one year. like liam wrote many of the fotl tracks right after releasing jilted.

liam should've never taken that break around 2000, even though its understandable. or he should've released the original aono. i fucking love the second version, but tracks like benny blanco, nuclear, trigger etc are much much heavier. everything written after aono was, to be honest, not comparable with their previous work. if I look back at their albums, imd is crap. but at the end of the day, it's liam, he wrote experience, jilted and fat of the land ALONE. he can do whatever the fuck he wants and not care bout it. i'm happy i have had the chance to see them live, 6 times! maybe there is another album, maybe not. they were more relevant in the 90s anyway

Yeah and I bet those are the FOTL tracks I actually like.

Like I've said before, it just amazes me how short the time period was that Experience, MFTJG and early FOTL stuff came out.
Pure. Fucking. Genius.

Don't get me wrong Liam has still made great tracks since but look at the pure talent and energy he put into the music back then... then bang. Something slowed him down immensely.
I think it's the money but who knows

he got married. he was on vacation around 99 and 2000, came back and wrote all the pre-aono bangers, already played em live in 2001. got married in 2002. bought laptops, rewrote aono. and i guess around then they had a child and there you go. he's a family man with no need to go to the studio since he "can write stuff anywhere with laptops".

now i feel like a yellow press reporter. wicked

most family man get mellow and produce Random Access Memories. which i'm totally okay, in case of daft punk.

but prodigy.. i don't ever want to see him releasing he's RAM. loosing creativity is totally normal i guess. with coke, veuve and lack of challenge.

but, at least They will NEVER loose theyr attitude.

i'm not worried about time, i hope he just comes with album he's satisfied with. and if it's dark enough, which it probably be, i'm sure most of you will be more satisfied with it than with IMD.

Let's not judge he's career until it's over.

i laugh at the fact that if we were having this conversation, and the conversation about the setlist less than 9 months ago, we would all be labelled 'moaners', how things have changed on this forum

Its about a week til their next gig anyway so... we'll see...

Wouldn't it be great if the setlist is exactly as the last. Then right at the end maxim says "alright we've got some new shit coming your way!!!"
Then liam walks up front, spreads his ass wide at the audience and starts shitting everywhere
"That's coming from the heart... respect."
