Nice one Mr. Robbie Very good minimalistic interpretation. Design with smell of 80's style.
But I have suggestions, I mean one minute, fast corrections:
No need to make so much light / space around the text i think.
or
Move "VOL. 5" text to the right to keep the typography, the line with the title.
But these are just my suggestions as a graphic designer

Naa man, I intentionally made the typographic positions loose, so it looks a little more experimental. When you tighten it up like that it jus feels a bit too regimented, which the music aint. Cheers for the feedback though my man.
When/if everyone's happy I'll go ahead and make a couple of print ready full covers (jewel case & cardboard sleeve) + CD. Just let me know.

Just my preference, but I like how it looks better with the way Nightmare fixed the border around "Music From The Jilted Generation"
I respect and understand what fifer's trying to convey in his original, but it's something that I don't think people from the outside would understand or interpret.
For me, visually looks better with a more closed in border around the text. Especially since the cover is very grid-like.
And I like how the text is lined up toward the right.
Though I think the "Vol. 5" looks weird in Nightmare's version.
Think the "Vol. 5" works better with the bigger border.
Instead of just two squares open...
make it four squares open/two across above and below each other and put "Vol. 5" dead center in that bigger square.
Just my preference.
Love the cover, mate!

That's right, I did it too tight. "VOL.5" should have more space to breathe

Alreet, it's your music lads, I'll make another version sometime this weekend and sit them side my side. Then people can choose A or B, majority rules.
Nightmare, I'd appreciate if you wouldn't just go ahead and edit my work? Cheers big man.

No worries, I just want to illustrate the idea. Some people can't imagine what someone writes.

Nightmare wrote: That's right, I did it too tight. "VOL.5" should have more space to breathe So this was the winner for the cover of Volume 5, right? Did we ever get a larger HQ version of the image? I noticed my BKV didn't have a cover image. Would it be possible to get a HQ copy?
