Thunder Dub is short, powerful, and to the point...
I'd love a version without Maxim cursing and crowd cheering
Sure, I'd love the '09 Re-Edit that Liam did live... experienced it in NYC and it was awesome
I just wanna be able to blast the dub mix on my sound system in studio quality
They cock-teased us with a semi-studio mix in that tour doc vid...
But I just wanna hear the track properly... none of these fan remakes
Plus the mix in the YouTube vid was different than the World's On Fire version
Liam chops up the riff in the video version, of course it happens when they are bullshitting over the track.
Would have been cool if when they posted that Thunder Dub vid, there would be a link in the description to download the studio mix
Would have been nice or put their frigging Soundcloud to proper use
I don't see the need to beg Liam for a demo of Memphis Bells... I mean we did hear it in the bonus video on the Their Law dvd... It wasn't that great.
Hell, beg him for Wake Up Call and Warning full vocals instead
But thats just me

yeah the following tracks would be great:

1. full wake up vocal version, mixed up with maxim's live lyrics (he already stated he liked the idea)
2. Deadken without dirt candy, the tune isn't fitting for him...
3. original warning with vocals (whyyyy? this song was so good)
4. gun reprise
5. AWOL (just in case he won't bring it out :P)
6. nuclear
7. no souvenirs (hey i just heard the uncle remix and it sounds promising)

but that's just my list

Agree on Gun reprise. My wish list:

1. Trigger
2. Unstoppable (yes! not mescaline)
3. Baby's got a temper (first mix)
4. Back 2 skool (first mix)
5. Heatwave
6. No souvernirs
7. Break & enter (95 mix)

A mastered version of the demo mix of Shoot Down
Warning Full Vocal
No Souvenirs (highly unlikely)
Wake up Call full vocal
Nuclear v3 - (unlikely as it uses a few well known, expensive samples)

The fact that they still play it live on occasion could be a good sign that it'll end up somewhere on a future release.

but if Liam posted the track online for free download, would sampling still be an issue? no money is being exchanged, so wouldn't he be able to post the track without issue. for example, Amon Tobin's "Foley Room" DJ mix was originally meant to be an actual release for sale, but since he had issues getting the rights for some tracks he put it up for free download instead to avoid problems. so a lot of the tunes that Liam in the end couldn't release due to sampling clearance, couldn't he just put "Nuclear" up for free download for the fans and avoid all that.

Liam should definitely released the full vocal version of "Warning," instrumental felt empty. The track was always performed with lyrics and the vocals gave the track an extra edge, so to get rid of them ruined the track's energy. And what about the long promised full vocal version of Wake Up Call? I really wished we got the "Trigger" with dueling Keith and Maxim vocals... it was raped and turned into the shittier "Shoot Down." Give me the version that they were playing at shows, now that had balls. The later "Nuclear" with the hook from Keith saying something like "Dirty... money... nuclear... liberty" was awesome and finally felt like the track was ready to go.

and like I said, not releasing No Souvenirs was by far the biggest middle finger and complete disrespect to the fans.

If The Prodigy wanted to deliver something truly special to the fans, it would be the re-release/anniversary edition of AONO. there's so much extra stuff, including the scrapped original AONO album in progress, that could be added. Hopefully XL and the band don't pull another Fat Of The Land anniversary edition and deliver a truly mediocre package.

I think you miss the point of the dub track...
it's not about the drums being powerful, it's the overall track being powerful.
And the certain instruments that are being focused on to drive the track,
It's not like the original, where the drums are meant to be booming and hit hard and carry the track.

In the dub mix, it's the riff that's meant to be powerful...
it's the riff that carries the energy of the track...
while the drums are just there to emphasize it and build the atmosphere around it.
this isn't big beat where it's all about the drums being front and center.

The focus of the dub mix is the bass riff and if the drums were too in your face and oppressive it would unbalance it and wouldn't sit right with the track's atmosphere.
I think you're missing the intention of the drums in regards to this track.

I don't listen to Thunder Dub for powerful beats...
I listen to Thunder Dub for a powerful track.
And you don't always need the beat to be big and booming to make a track powerful.
